Great night with North Sea Gas as the live band. Band starts playing at 21.30 so plenty of time to eat beforehand. It's advisable to book a table in good time as the Hootananny fills up quickly on a Saturday night. Staff were very helpful and service minded and the food was prepared to a good standard. We had the Sirloin Steak which was cooked to perfection and the Red Kite beef and ale pie which was very tasty too. Good selection of beers in the bar. The whole evening was a wonderful Scottish experience but would not recommend to take young children to the evening sessions. A bit rough around the edges but hey, that's what it's all about. A typical Scottish live music pub evening with everybody joining in.
