Old Town or New Town better for Asian cuisine?
A topic of much contention for Edinburgh locals – which is better to dine? Old Town or New Town? New Town is an eclectic mix of restaurants, bars and cafes and the Asian restaurants in this part of Edinburgh are making a name for themselves as being innovative with impeccable design. New Town is a contrast to the labyrinth-styled streets of Old Town with its neoclassical and Georgian architecture, and the restaurants here are slightly more upmarket and chic as opposed to the low key and hipster Asian restaurants dotted throughout the cobbled stoned alleyways of Old Town. While locals and travellers build their own opinions about which area is better to dine, one thing is for sure, no matter the location, the high quality of the food in the wonderful Asian restaurants throughout the whole of Edinburgh speaks for itself, no matter where you are.
