Thinking about making a Langar Hall booking?

Attracting diners from all over Nottinghamshire and further across the United Kingdom, for leisurely lunches or elegant dinners, Langar Hall is a gorgeous retreat. The Dining Room radiates opulence – as does The Garden Room, for that matter – and the wide range of menus is guaranteed to please. The lunch menu is different on a Monday compared to the rest of the week but offers marvelous British flavour no matter when you dine. You can choose two courses for £20 or three for £26.50, or order your dishes separately from the a la carte menu. If you opt for the latter, start your lunch perhaps with braised pork cheek, guanciale, morel mushrooms and wild garlic, before moving onto roast Devon duck with braised faggot, carrots, passion fruit and garden chard.

As this is British dining, on Sunday here at Langar Hall you can, of course, expect a Sunday roast, otherwise, the regular dinnertime menu structure is the same as the lunchtime. Standout dishes for us include the poached native lobster starter with English tomatoes, elderflower and lobster vinaigrette, as well as the twice-baked cheese souffle. In terms of mains, the Cornish turbot with crab tortellini, salt-baked fennel, broad beans and an oyster & cucumber dressing is delightful, as is the stuffed courgette with ratatouille, hummus, aubergine caviar and a mixed bean salad. On Church Lane, Langar Hall really is the jewel of Langar and one of the finest examples of British dining that you’re likely to come across. Book ahead to avoid disappointment!
