Look out for scrumptious traditional dishes in the wonderful British restaurants of Shropshire

There are some outstanding Shropshire restaurants across the county offering a traditional taste of the English countryside. Take Ye Olde Punchbowl Inn at Bridgnorth. This pub has been around for centuries (although with a different name) and continues to deliver firm favourites such as crisp fish and chips, sizzling steaks and juicy burgers. Look out, too, for their ingenious AGA carvery dining experience. Pies are another local tradition and the fidget pie is something of a classic. Made with local ham, cheese, apples, onions and cider, it's now making a bit of a culinary comeback.
