Food was all excellent! so fresh and well cooked and full of flavour. However! - waitress looked bored whilst we were deciding on wine order. Were not told Pheasant wasn't available until after we'd ordered it. Waitress looked bored again whilst one of our party had to choose an alternative. Later on ordered one separate glass of Cote du Rhone. It didn't taste like a Cote du Rhone so asked waitress to make sure. She said it was. Asked a waiter to check again. They then told us they didn't have C du R so had given Cabernet but hadn't informed us. They did eventually change it for another. Given dessert menu - two of our party of four ordered dessert, other two said they were currently not ready. Asked for dessert menu later on but upon ordering found kitchen had closed. We were somewhat peeved. Waitress found one last chef in kitchen and he made dessert. We did not leave the full twelve and a half percent service charge. One last point - would be nice if all waiting staff wore something a little more presentable.
Staff very friendly. Food excellent and although it was very busy we didn't have to wait long for our food. Good atmosphere will go back again.
