The visit was excellent, in particular the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the service. The food was also of the quality we have come to expect from Cote.
Lovely choice of food. Good ambiance. Good service. Was a little quiet, but the music is good and nice decor. The quality of food was brilliant
I love this place! They do the Best steak ever (as a beef wholesalers daughter, that's saying something!), starters are amazingly tasty and staff are great!
Good food and excellent waitress service. Able to accommodate my request for a certain table. Would hope to return to the restaurant in Norwich very soon.
It was our anniversary dinner. I had left a note to the restaurant to write "Happy anniversary. Meow!" on the dessert when I placed my reservations. We were very surprised when we got seated. 1. The table was decorated with little glitter cutouts of wine glasses. Really cute! The devil's in the details! 2. The staff all wrote their well wishes in a beautiful card for us. Very thoughtful. 3. The best of all, they bought a little mug that had a cat on it! They correctly my wife loved cats from the note about the anniversary message. My wife was utterly speechless. She thought I told them to buy the cat mug...oh no.... damn, what a lovely gesture. 4. The dessert was very well decorated with sugar frosting. Each letter was a different color and it definitely looked like they went the extra mile to make the experience something we would never forget. We've traveled the world and celebrated monthiversaries (yes we celebrate it monthly!) and anniversaries, birthdays, special occasions at restaurants at varying price ranges, Michelin star rated ones, etc. This is to be the best service we have ever experienced in our life. Just amazing. The staff here really blew us away. JUST WOW. The food was good as well. Also not too pricey at all, very affordable for a decent meal. The ambiance was good, not too loud. I would highly encourage you to support this restaurant, especially if you are celebrating something special. We loved every moment of the meal. We came all the way from Chicago to visit the Lotus factory so I'm not sure if I'll be back anytime soon but we will 100% definitely visit again if the opportunity presents itself in the future. Mind blowing experience at Cote Brasserie Norwich.
Any excellent experience lovely food and of a good standard. We were met by a lovely lady and taken to our table with no problems - the waitress then came and introduced herself, she was very professional and took our order for drinks - at no time were we rushed but our every need was met. The food was bought out efficiently and no one had to wait - I would recommend this restaurant to anybody - we all had the set menu which had a lot of choice and couldn't be faulted - was a little expensive but you pay for what you get. I would definitely come back. Thank you it is nice to find such a gem.
We had a choice of where to sit - very nice. We hadn't finished half of the breads and olives before our starters came. Our starters was cleared and main was served immediately with no rest in between. Our main was taken and dessert menu given not asked if we would like to see a menu. We hadn't looked at the menu before we were asked what we wanted. We requested 5minutes. On ordering the desserts, they were received within 2 minutes! We were out to celebrate our anniversary but found that we were being far to rushed to enjoy our dining experience. The food was very good but a let down on feeling like it was a fast food venue.
Party of four all chose different things. Steak Tartare was as ever good. Calamari also good and smoked salmon adequate. For main course the crepes are a good standard and very rich. The fish parmentierre was very runny under the potato ... more soup like. Now the pork belly was tiny ... a third of what we would deem a large portion. For a growing guy this dish was not adequate. The 'half' chicken was misdescribed. It was a leg with a small supreme. No wing or substantial thigh. Better des cribed as chicken not half a chicken. Desserts were all ok but after provideing a reward of a bottle of wine to virtually add the cost back on as a discretionary service charge was a bit rich. It made us think about the overall value of the a la carts menu in the future.
Really good meal at this bustling restaurant. Service also excellent. Well considered wine list and classic dishes done very well. I particularly liked the smoked salmon starter. Two minor criticisms: the layout of the restaurant means the entrance is not easily in view of the maître d' so on a busy evening we were left waiting to be seated. There was an apology but an acknowledgment when leaving would be good. Also train staff to speak to diners if they pass them in the entrance area. The other issue is the inclusion of 12.5% gratuity. This is above the market rate and pressurises a customer into paying it because of the potential ill- feeling of refusing or asking to pay 10%. Far better for me to pay without subtle coercion, as I always do when service has been good.
Visited over the easter weekend. The restaurant was very busy but the staff were really helpful and friendly despite being rushed off their feet! Unfortunately the food was not as good as we have experienced in the past. All the starters arrived together and were excellent, but unfortunately when our mains were served the side orders did not arrive at the same time and we had to requested them again also the food was not very hot. All except one of the desserts were good but unfortunately the lemon tart was soggy and seemed stale. All these issues were resolved by adjustment of the final bill. The Manager did apologise. We will visit again but NOT over a bank holiday weekend as we feel the kitchen cannot cope with high volume of clientele.
