Staff very friendly & attentive as always & food was good too. We both had gammon egg & chips off the 7th heaven menu, very good value at only £7.99 each. would highly recommend.
Met all expectations, good food, excellent service, brilliant atmosphere. Service good, would not go anywhere else. Variety in menu. Busy for a Monday evening. Very good overall.
Booked a table for valentines as always staff and chef went out of their way to accommodate my girlfriends food allergies.would highly recommend absolutely amazing
Great food beautifully cooked and presented with good service in a lovely environment. We will be more than happy to return. Thank you to The Gregory.
We like The Gregory but on this occasion my husband had to take his beer back as it didn't taste very good, they replaced it no problem. Then we started eating our food, (sausages & mash) my sausages didn't seem to be cooked enough, they were still pink. The waitress took them back & the chef said they were at the correct temperature but they would cook me some more or cook me something else. I asked for the sausages again but for them to be well done, this time they were much better. We don't normally have a problem at The Gregory, it just must have been an off day they were having.
This was our second visit to The Gregory. It's reputation drew us there the first time. It is a pleasant environment for a family meal. The food was delicious, the proportions were just right, and the presentation was to a high standard. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout the duration of our visit.
Disappointing first time at The Gregory with friends. Lots of space. Nicely decorated and well presented environment. But doesn't meet the image projected on their website for fine dining - falls a long way short - more like a good pub. Served by a school lad who was very shy and out of his depth - hardy what to expect from fine dining. Two other gents served drinks and took the order didn't seem all that interested. asked for the gluten free info but never received it. No notes on menu choices about GF options. If its fine dining your looking there are many better options. If the pricing was more in line with normal pubs then this would be an okay place for dinner. Poor value for money. Shame as it looks nice from outside and website is great.
We enjoyed our meal at The Gregory, we both had sausage & mash with caramelised onion gravy, it was delicious. The staff were attentive & courteous which helped make for a pleasant evening. Definitely recommend it.
visited for the first time on Saturday evening and it will not be the last. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. It all made for a great evening as we met friends who had travelled down from the Lake District and we were not rushed at all although the restaurant was fairly busy.
First time at The Gregory, will definitely be going back. Sunday lunch was very nice - good food and atmosphere. I had Sirlion beef and Brownie.
Beautiful place with a roaring fire, good food but very slow service. Disappointed to find the weekly deals were not being offered for December but were on the website. Big paper menus and candles on the table dont mix, one of ours caught fire, offered a fresh menu but didnt clean up mess from the burnt one and we got burnt fingers putting the fire out as it was flames!! Rethink health and safety there i think.
Brilliant food and atmosphere, good selection of drinks but felt we were a little ignored towards the end of our meal, to the point that one of our party had to leave the table to find a waitress so that we could order desserts. If we hadn't have had to do that I would have given this restaurant a perfect rating
Very good range of options for a lunch time, reasonable priced. Lovely atmosphere and a warm welcome. food was very delicious and obviously cooked to order with fresh ingredients (not left overs form the weekend like you get in some restaurants). overall a very pleasant and delicious lunch
Food was excellent. Very reasonable prices. Staff attentive and very polite. Enjoyable dining experience in very nice surroundings. Disappointed with the garden. Not well kept and outdoor seating has seen better days. A shame as a lovely courtyard area but neglected. Ladies toilets needs some areas of work. These 2 areas let the place down
Glad to have The Gregory as our 'local', the food this lunchtime was good as always. The service was a little slow today. Definitely worth a visit.
Nice building and room but just a bit shabby - one of the chairs was broken and the others wobbly and had fabric hanging underneath. Friendly service but slightly casual e.g. Having said I wanted a glass of wine I had to ask for a wine list which had to be specially fetched. Limited Sunday lunch menu but the food itself was very good and good value.
It was pie night tonight which means you could order the pie of the night & a drink for £9.95 you could also order off the main menu too. I had the pie, Chicken & ham but they also had Pork sage & onion or a vegetarian option. It was very nice.
Comfortable and very well decorated room. On main road but little noise intrusion and no noise from rest of building despite being above restaurant. Good food. Not impressed with Dualit tea/coffee maker but alternative hot water readily supplied. Also, only one coat hanger provided. Staff friendly and helpful.
Friendly helpful staff, plesant atmosphere, well laid out tables with plenty of room. Our visit was on Fathers Day and had a special menu on, fairly good choice at reasonable prices. Well cooked food. Will return next time we are in the area.
Convenient location as the group was staying in Grantham. Warm welcome from the staff and professional service. The stilton panacotta could have been improved with more stilton but the 'pub style meat pie' was superb.
Really great food as always and lovely atmosphere. Really nice to be able to take the kids and fab kids menu. Good offers with the 7th heaven deal. My Dad thoroughly enjoyed his birthday meal.
Good lunchtime atmosphere on a Thursday and excellent food. There was a mix up with the order (soup instead of frites with a sandwich) but that was put right with no fuss straight away
Very nice overall. Inside is very decorated and themed very well, not a great deal of curb appeal from the outside though. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was ample and tasty and served nice and quickly.
Sunday Lunch at the Gregory, Harlaxton. The food, wine and service was very good, and really good value. I have eaten at the Gregory on a number of occasions and would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.
We went for Sunday lunch. Menu has improved from last time, options other than just Sunday roasts. Bread served before meal is now a mini loaf, far too much. Food average, service okay. Lacked atmosphere today, maybe it was just because it was quieter than normal.
Lovely place, friendly and helpful staff, nice room and tasty well priced dinner . Good room decor and shower comfy bed. It's by the road but can't really hear traffic
Lovely atmosphere, staff friendly and attentive and most of all food very good. I would have rated them a six but on this occasion only a five because my mashed potatoes were only just warm.
We had a roast chicken dinner which was very nice. The only downside were the roast potatoes, they had obviously been previously cooked & then reheated but not very well. Otherwise everything else was good.
Quiet evening but enjoyable, the staff were pleasant & attentive. My husband had gammon & chips & I had chicken & ham pie with mash & cabbage. Both were very tasty & good value.
It was a really nice meal with excellent service. It has an relaxing and warming atmospheric lounge, nice on tap beers and cider, and a wide range of choices for the more adventurous drinker.
The food was delicious food, the staff were very pleasant and helpful and the service was efficient. It is excellent value and the surroundings were comfortable and cosy.
Stopped over in Grantham on the way to the Lakes - had a great meal at the Gregory and would certainly recommend to anyone - great service too!
We had the fish and the steak and both were perfectly cooked. Staff were polite and discreetly attentive. Lovely food and great service. we will definitely be back.
Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, wonderful staff. Service can be a little slow but the food is worth the wait. Nice to just sit back and relax. :)
The food excellent and the service tremendous. The staff couldn't do enough to help. A really friendly pub with top quality food. We would definitely go again.
Good menu, very difficult to decide what to eat. When we eventually did ti was all well cooked and excellent. Service was very good and friendly
SUCH friendly, genuine service from ALL of the staff! Tasty food and good atmosphere. Felt very looked after. Well done to the staffing team, really impressed
Lovely space for dining. Staff are brilliant. Food was average pub food. Needed to salt everything; needed more flavours. Medium-rare steak comes out very rare. Wouldn't take much to boost it from average to above-average on the food front
Great service and greater food the gregory really is a place to go and relax in comfort and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere within the restaurant
Excellent! Good friendly service by all the staff. The food was piping hot, tasty and well presented. We had a lovely evening at the Gregory!
The food took more than half an hour to arrive, despite the fact that we were the first customers through the door at twelve, we specified that we only had an hour for lunch and ordered just sandwiches and soup, a part from one person who had something else
The food was great and service was generally good, just a little slow at points. The food is reasonably priced considering the quality - overall a good experience.
Great disappointment. Front of house staff were not particularly attentive or welcoming and service was very slow. Food could best be described as ordinary. Had high hopes of an enjoyable evening when booking was made but was underwhelmed by the experience. Will not be visiting again..
Lovely restaurant, very attentive staff. We both had the hake which was a little disappointing and lacked taste and colour. Would visit again at a later date
Service was a little slow but they were quite busy but we were well looked after. Most importantly the food was delicious, I highly recommend it.
Lovely meal, service good. Duck dish was a strange combination which i wouldnt choose again but my family all enjoyed their meals. We would go back.
Food was of the high standard expected and the service was both friendly, attentive but also respectfully paced. Overall experience was great value for money.
The food was very tasty and cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly and attentive. Nice comfortable surroundings. Would definitely recommend the restaurant for Sunday dinner
Food was very good; sensibly priced. Staff friendly. Long wait between main course and dessert. But overall lovely dining experience and will go definitely return.
The food we had was lovely, they even let us preorder as we only had an hour for lunch and the process was really simple
