Authentic Syrian cuisine isn’t always easy to come by, but at Abu Zaad in Shepherds Bush, they’ve got it down pat. Specialising in Damascan delicacies with numerous pan-Middle Eastern specialities thrown in for good measure, Abu Zaad on London’s Uxbridge Road features an extensive menu of delicious options that are satisfying and nourishing. On Sundays from 11am to 1pm, Abu Zaad offers an incredible breakfast buffet featuring everything from hummus and baba ghanouj to traditional breakfast options alongside a number of salads. At dinnertime, you can’t go wrong with the lamb kofta, the baia bi lahmeh (okra fried with lamb, olive oil, tomato, onion and herbs), grilled seabass and the chicken tajin. Don’t queue up – book ahead and beat the crowd!
Love it, excellent food and service... will come back to this place any time and every time. there is also enough or reasonable car parking areas around it which is great.
A favorite restaurant for the whole family. You always will enjoy the food and the service. Staf is always friendly and the food is tasty. Great place.
Ve ry ta sty, gre at serv ice and on top of that go od val ue. Thank you, we will be com ing again
Excellent food, amazingly friendly service, huge portions... really reasinable prices. Our syrian friends we went with said it was v authentic. Love this place and will Def be back!
Food was delicious as ever. Actually prefer the starters at Abu Zaad so much so that I was pretty much full on starters. As for mains lamb tajine is my favourite.
Quite disappointing, considering all of the good reviews I saw online. Service was very much lacking and the food was not at all impressive, in taste or presentation. We ordered 7 different main dishes and not one of them was at the standard I hoped for. Nothing special. And the "side salads" that were meant to come with quite a few of the dishes, were just a small pile of lifeless iceberg lettuce. Considering the starters and the mains, we didn't bother staying for dessert; we didn't need more disappointment. I don't think I would come back again, nor would I recommend it.
Always great food! Friendly staff! Make sure you have the Farouj Abu Zaad! You will not be disappointed! Will be back again and again! Thanks!
Food was amazing , staff very helpful , and friendly ,, we like to treat ourselves from time to time , as we don't live in London so it worth to drive all the way to have lovely Sunday Buffett as treat .
Great food - at a great price. We were stuffed after the mixed mezze to start and two main courses - all for £30 (2 of us) - arguably over-ordered! Service very friendly as well - and quick.
The service was very good. The buffet had a good spread. However I think because we went close to closing time it wasn't that hot. It was 8 pounds all you can eat and they let us do take away. It wasn't the tastiest meal I've had but it was good value for money.
