Alexander The Great is a Greek national hero – despite being debatably Macedonian, depending on where you think Macedonia starts and stops – and down on Plender Street in Camden, they’re paying tribute to the great man in the best possible way: by celebrating the best in Greek food. They’re proud to serve up the very finest that Greece has to offer, from mezze to start to grilled favourites and classic dishes like dolmades and moussaka. We’d start with a spanakopita and some kalamari, followed by the mixed grill, with halloumi, smoked pork lountza, spicy loukanika sausages, pork kebab, chicken kebab, lamb chop and sheftalia. If you’re partial to an ouzo, that’s there as well, so set your course for Plender Street in Camden Town for a Greek restaurant in London that is worth smashing plates about.
Staff were so friendly and helpful. The wine went down like water. But the food was the main event, absolutely brilliant. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good Greek restaurant.
Excellent food and reasonable prices. Really friendly staff who went that extra mile for a premium dining experience. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting London or Camden in particular.
Always great! Lovely staff and delicious food! Very quick and prompt servicing. Price very reasonable. Great atmosphere. Worth visit and enjoy, specially in the summer
