Inspired by the rustic Italian cuisine from the Amalfi coastline, Amalfi Trattoria is a Glasgow institution. Opened in 1943 (formerly known as Lido Café) Amalfi is a family-run restaurant where their passion for Italian culture and food runs deep. With a cosy and warm atmosphere and welcoming service, the team at Amalfi make every guest feel like they’re part of the family. This unpretentious trattoria is located on West Nile Street, a short distance from the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and the Theatre Royal Glasgow/Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, making it the perfect pre or post theatre venue. Boasting an extensive menu ranging from housemade pizzas, pasta and primi and secondi piatti, it is recommended you book a table in advance to secure your spot.
Food is full of flavour really enjoyed my meal as did my wife. Excellent friendly service and reasonably priced. Will definetly return in the future.
Excellent service and superb food at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommend a visit to this city centre restaurant diamond. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Glasgow.
The staff provide an excellent and friendly service and the food is good. It is very handy for Glasgow Concert Hall too. I'll be visiting again.
Meals was lovely especially starter of mussels. I had rissoto for main meal off the pre-theatre meal menu which had a good selection of choice at very reasonable price. Service was very good. Would recommend
My friend and I went to Amalfi in West Nile Street Glasgow for a pre-theatre meal. We both enjoyed our meal and the price of £12.95 for 2 courses was excellent value for money. The staff were extremely friendly and served our food promptly which we appreciated as we had not allowed ourselves a lot of time before the show. I would definitely recommend anyone to try it.
I was greeted by waiting staff immediately, and sat down. I was given adequate time to order, but was not sat waiting or having to get the waiting staff's attention to place my order. Food arrived in good time and was very tasty. As the restaurant was rather busy, I had to quickly as the waitress to bring my bill, but I wouldn't consider that a negative, as they were very busy. When asked, the bill was brought over swiftly. I felt it was good value for money, as I had a drink, main and side order for £15. Albeit I dined alone, however I have often paid more in other restaurants. Overall, I was very impressed with the restaurant, and I would definitely dine again in the future.
Really wonder why I've walked past this establishment so many times. The food is as you would expect from an Italian restaurant only better. Amalfi offers authentic homemade (I Think) Italian food at a reasonable price in the centre of Glasgow a stones throw from the Cinema and the Concert Hall. The friendly efficient staff will make doubly sure that I make a return visit very soon.
Amalfi restaurant I went to this restaurant with a friend as she recommended it ,and I loved it,the food was excellent 2 course £12.95 . Also the staff are efficient and helpful and I was impressed when the waitress didn't even write down what we were having and got everything right ,and all dishes went to the right people.also to get a bottle of Merlot for £14. Is great in my book ,and they have a good selection of food and wine . Anyway I went back to this restaurant on Sunday night 11th February and again we were not disappointed would recommend this place as must try .
We really enjoyed Amalfi. The food is lovely and excellent value. Staff are very friendly. Nice atmosphere in this well established Glasgow restaurant. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and return.
A most enjoyable evening with great service. Amalfi has a friendly relaxed atmosphere and we were made most welcome. We enjoyed good food and good company.
