More about Amans Congleton, Manchester

For devoted curry fans, the search for the perfect Indian never ends. For Congleton locals, however, Amans offers something of a respite. The menu at this classic along Holmes Chapel Road in the West Heath area of town is a homage to all the dishes that are so beloved by the British curry head: chicken tikka, sheek kebabs, tandoori chicken and onion bhajis. But if you’re reading this thinking that your curry palate is rather more sophisticated than that, there’s also an excellent selection of contemporary Indian dishes to sample.

Open daily from 5:30pm right through until 11pm, Amans in Congleton, like its sister restaurants in Bramhall, Lowton, Newton-le-Willows and Worsley, prides itself on being the go-to place for curry on Holmes Chapel Road. The team here pride themselves on their excellent service and warm welcome – the perfect complement to the fiery and mild dishes coming from the kitchen. West Heath locals know that Amans in synonymous with quality curries and superior dining and many take advantage of the restaurant’s excellent takeaway options, and the word is starting to spread as diners make their way to Amans for their innovative take on classic Indian food.

As always, Amans of Congleton served us with an excellent meal and the staff are so pleasant and attentive. I made a comment about the garlic naan bread and the waiter was happy to tell us how they are cooked

Excellent food and service at a reasonable price. The bahjis were especially good and the naan breads light and crispy not doughy. Best I've found in the area.

Fantastic food and nice people. Had a lovely table and service. The tandoori starter was so flavoursome and all of the meats really juicy. Filled up on popadoms and starter so was gutted when I was full half way through the main meal which was also wonderful

Excellent restaurant , staff were most helpful and very attentive. The food was just fabulous and very reasonable priced. Next visit will be with a load of friends. Congleton is most fortunate to have a restaurant of this quality and it deserves supporting.
