The booking was for Sunday, early evening. It is a small but cozy restaurant, and there was another table that was occupied by a couple. The service very good, polite and attentive (always a good sign - shows that they care and that you are valued as a customer). A small plate of olive and bread was bought to the table while we decided on what to order. From an interesting menu, we choose the Feta Triangles, and Hummus Kavurma to start, and the main courses of the mix grill, calamari & Hunkar Begendi. The triangles were crisp and savoury, and the hummus topped with lamb, eaten with bread made an excellent beginning to the meal. We shared the main dishes, and the only disappointment was the mix grill, which was a little dry. Calamari was not overcooked & the chips crunchy. The hunkar was a new dish that I had not tried before and it had a very good flavour, but while it was advertised as having rice, I dont recall it was served, which is a shame was it needed some carbohydrates (rice or bread) to mix with the sauce. Overall a nice place to eat, well worth its listing in TripAdvisor (where imo some of the croydon restaurant reviews are rubbish & over-rated). I would not hesitate to return and sample some of the other dishes.

I have been to Anabella's a few times now and have always found the service to be of a very high standard - the staff are very attentive and you are not rushed. The food is amazing too, with a great selection. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is such a cute, tiny restaurant. The food was lovely and so were the staff. The only downside was that it was a little bit chilly as we were sat at a table by the door and the radiator kept turning off.
