Will recommend to anyone who loves fine dining. The staff are very welcoming and the food is of highest quality. Will definitely go back again.
Warm friendly welcome . Excellent freshly prepared food. Always enjoy visiting Antico. Wine list offers a good range of value for money. Staff very attentive
One of the best in Newcastle , great food , good value for money , first class service , delightful atmosphere. Patio area could do with some heaters so you could enjoy a drink outside but otherwise perfect .
We visited for a surprise meal for my daughters 21st birthday. The food was delicious the staff were brilliant and made us all feel welcome, even my 11 month old grand daughter bringing her warm bread to snack on before the birthday girl arrived. I will definitely be going back, the restaurant was lovely with a great ambience.
Never disappointed when we go to Antico, always a warm welcome, food is always excellent, although one man's meat is another's poison, but try it, you never know you might just love Antico
Fantastic food in a wonderful setting, truly Italian in that we saw all ages and all sizes of group all enjoying their evening together. One large party was there to celebrate an 80th birthday, we were a family of 4 (inc. 2 teenagers) and there was a couple of romantic couples. The seared tuna was fabulous!
Very pleasant ambience- service excellent! Food very good but portions on the large size! However would definitely return and recommend and perhaps be more circumspect with menu choice next time!
A relaxing evening with lovely food. The service was excellent - discrete but attentive. A really enjoyable evening. We were made to feel very welcome and we will definitely be back.
Disappointed, as I paid well over the odds for what we received. The garlic mushrooms were nice, but went downhill there after. The garlic and rosemary bread was covered in sea salt, the pasta dishes eps were as if it came out of a jar and the chicken dish tasted weird and a bit off. Wished we complained at the time, but we're British, and unfortunately it is in our nature not to create a scene.
We went to Antico for our wedding anniversary, having been there a number of times in the past. We love it. Great atmosphere, good food and fantastic staff who always make us feel welcome. What more could you want. We'll definitely be back.
