Located on Canada Way, Arishana offers contemporary Indian dining in a no-fuss environment. Asking the hard questions, diners are invited to try their jalfrezi vegetable or their most popular dish, a delicacy known as Appletiser.

Weighing in at number five on Arishana’s list of most popular dishes, their Bengal-style fried rice has been voted by the denizens of Lower Wick, to the south of Worcester city, as just one of their favourites from this contemporary supplier of fine Indian cuisine. Next up the ladder the is the simple fried rice, not Bengal-style but as hearty as a dish of fried rice can be. Just when you thought things were levelling off, this Canada Way kitchen throws you a curveball with their bronze medal-winning king prawn rice, narrowly beaten out in the popularity stakes by a third of a litre of diet Coca Cola and, more king than a king prawn, Appletiser.

The aptly titled Arishana Special is only available to those who dine in, so if you want to indulge in this delicacy, perhaps with a side of Appletiser, book a table and signal to the waitstaff the moment you settle into your plush dining chair. This mouthwatering dish has its spicy roots in south Bengal and consists of freshly barbecued chicken cooked with crushed onions, green chillies, potatoes, spring onions, and a masala of cardamon, cinnamon and bay leaves. A hot little number, it really should beat out all the other dishes that Lower Wick diners have voted for by virtue of their consumption habits. Not far from the hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan Worcester city centre, Arishana is a great spot for fans of regal Indian cuisine to hide out.
