Leeds is a world city, or at least, a city that has sent it’s tentacles out the world over to make their names. It was from God’s Own County that Captain James Cook set off with the intention of finding Australia, and the presumably secondary intention of being killed by Hawaiian natives after trying to kidnap their king. Now, the whole world is returning to Yorkshire on the menu of Around The World Bar and Lounge in the heart of Leeds’ city centre, where they offer an international menu that is sure to delight all those who come by The Headrow to sample what they have in store.
The USA is well represented on the Around The World menu, with favourites such as buttermilk fried chicken salad and pulled pork nachos, whereas their neighbours to the south in Mexico provide fajita chicken nachos. Italy gives smoked salmon carbonara and plenty of pizzas, while France is responsible for moules frites and bacon, brie and cranberry salad. Chuck in a huge range of international beers and wines and you’re well on the way to a globally significant night out in Leeds city centre – just remember to book your table in advance to avoid disappointment.
