More about the restaurant: Art's Cafe

Art’s is a local institution. First opened in 1994, Art’s bills itself as Leed’s original cafe bar, and we’re inclined to agree. There are few places that have done as much for Leeds’ dining scene as Art’s on Call Lane in the city centre. Offering peerless British classics and international fare in a bistro-style environment, there’s good reason that Art’s has seen in three different decades so far, and looks set to go from strength to strength.

Thinking about making a Art's Cafe booking?

Art’s has long enjoyed a reputation in Leeds as one of the city’s finest restaurants. Essentially Art’s is a bistro, but the food on offer here is enough to put many of the city’s ostensibly fine dining establishments to shame, and the team at Call Lane have got the awards to prove it. The dining room in the city centre has space for 50 covers, and is regularly packed to the rafters for dinner, with diners hoping to sample Art’s famously good British and international menu.

Aside from the food which enjoys a formidable reputation in Leeds, Art’s, as its name suggests, has another side. The dining room doubles up as an exhibition space, with a rotation of work changing in and out at six week intervals. Diners are invited to enjoy their excellent international and British-led food in the company of attentive, friendly staff, on hand to guide diners through the menu and chat a little about the latest exhibition. Art’s is a testament to great, sensibly priced food in the city centre, and this Call Lane institution doesn’t look likely to be going anywhere any time soon.
