An excellent evening as always. Excuse was celebration of my brother’s 70th birthday- Avanti responded with a super meal, special desert with candles, and a free drink at the end. Well done! Les.

Very friendly staff, lovely food (dessert was clearly bought in, not as nice as the main & starter but still good). Was busy as it was the night before the Great North Run, but had a great atmosphere!

Saturday night, very, very noisy and dark and tables too close together - could not hear what my companion was saying and I had to shout. Loved the food and atmosphere, service a little to slow though.

Best potato skins in Newcastle :) along with great quality Italian of all sorts and lovely family-run atmosphere.

We visited at lunchtime and had a wonderful Happy Hour meal with great personal service, however there were only a couple of tables occupied on the day so hopefully their lunchtime trade will pick up to match their evening traffic

Happy with the meal, service for the starters could gave been quicker, but overall enjoyed our meal and will return

I have eaten at Avanti many times.The overall ambience is wonderful. You are welcomed from the moment you enter. The food is of a very high standard and never disappoints. An evening here feels special. This is why we always return.

One of party, unfortunately the Birthday guy, wasn’t happy with his calamari starter, he felt it was ‘rubbery’ and not the nicest he’d had... but he didn’t say so until later.. everything else was ok.. we did wait quite a while to eat though.

We have never been before but always thought how pretty it looked so we decided to come for my sons 7th birthday for a family meal, the atmosphere was lovely and very picturesque restaurant. The food was brilliant the best Italian we’ve had for a long time! The service was a bit slow but to be fair it was very busy! We will definitely be visiting again soon.

We had a lovely time and couldn't fault the service. The only one thing was, my Husband & I had asked for a medium steak, but they were both well done. However, we didn't say anything, as they were still very tasty! Lovely place and lovely atmosphere. We will be returning!

Tables were close together and there were a lot of noisy customers in a packed restaurant making it hard to hold a conversation and hear our guests on our table. Food was good and service good.

Great friendly staff & food is excellent ! £50 for a nice bottle of wine & 2 x courses for my wife & I !!!! Definitely coming back !!
