It’s not a hard ask to find Southeast Asian cuisine in Sheffield, but to find a restaurant of this calibre is a rare thing indeed. Baan Thai benefits from a fantastic setting, located at the intersection of Ecclesall Road and London Road in a beautiful Victorian building, at the northern end of Highfield and a stone’s throw from the city centre. Moreover, the Thai cuisine on offer is superb, ranging from appetisers and Southeast Asian salads to stir-fried dishes, gaeng (curries) and talay (seafood), and a host of vegetarian options. Survey the salty, sour and sweet flavours of Thai food with the pla sam rod deep-fried fish with a delicious sauce, go for a super-spicy jungle curry, or opt for the stir-fried exotic mushrooms with cashew nuts and the chef’s secret sauce.
Delicious Thai food with individual flavours, the freshest fish, tastiest ribs, all beautifully presented with excellent service in an interesting old building - Thankyou - we will return
As always a lovely meal. We went for my mum’s 70th Birthday and had a delicious meal. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. Thank you for a nice time.
Another lovely meal, we are both vegetarians and all the dishes were tasty and had a generous chilli quota :-) The starter was amazing. Overall highly recommended.
