Delicious Thai food with individual flavours, the freshest fish, tastiest ribs, all beautifully presented with excellent service in an interesting old building - Thankyou - we will return

Service and food was - as usual- excellent. The building and decor is a massive attraction as it feels so authentic and indulgent. Only drawback is that if you are seated by the door it is drafts/cold whenever someone opens the door. Just make sure you sit away from the door!

As always a lovely meal. We went for my mum’s 70th Birthday and had a delicious meal. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. Thank you for a nice time.

Another lovely meal, we are both vegetarians and all the dishes were tasty and had a generous chilli quota :-) The starter was amazing. Overall highly recommended.

The food was delicious. We loved the sharing platter to start. My friends and I enjoyed the green curry and Penang curry. The staff were attentive and the restaurant has a great feel.

Reviews were spot on. Excellent food, delightfully presented with attentive staff. Decor is pure theatre. Within easy walking distance of our city centre hotel. If ever back in Sheffield again, will return.

Excellent service, traditional setting with great food at reasonable prices, would definitely go again. Would recommend the sharing starter, the fisherman's clred Curry and the cocktails too

I taste good Thai food in Baan Thai restaurant. and I spend a good day with my friend and eat the nice food. Also experience the good quality of service.

flavours are good but the fish cakes a little rubbery & everything else a bit too oily. Great service from the staff though. The place is tired & dated now though could do with some TLC

Great meal with friends. Good service and excellent food I particularly like the Yellow Curry but would love more potato in it, its the best bit! The duck Red Curry was also excellent and I always enjoyed the mixed starter platter

The menu was the totally wrong description of the dish. My wife was very disappointed. It said stir fried when it was actually deep fried. She particularly doesn’t like Deep fried food. The staff were very pleasant but because of the wrong description of the menu the young lady waitress acknowledged this and offered us a complimentary glass of red wine. We thought this was a good gesture but the wine never came to our table. An overall disappointing meal.

We'd not been for a long time so good that the food and service was still excellent. Stunning decor is beginning to look a bit shabby now.

Very friendly staff, great food and a lovely setting. It would have been good to have tradition music playing in such a brilliant setting. One to visit!

Great food, especially the fried aubergine dish, Makua Sam Rod, which was crispy outside and fluffy inside, and the chicken satay (the best I've ever tasted). The staff were lovely, attentive but didn't fuss too much.

Delicious food and good atmosphere. A good range of choice with excellent service. We had the mixed starter, pork Penang and stir fry fish. Generous portions and even enough to take home. Will definitely go again.

Beautiful building (even more so since the renovation) and food, and the staff are wonderful, polite and very professional. Love coming here it's our favourite and has been for years!!

Great food and service. The set menus are huge and well worth the money. The atmosphere is fantastic with good music playing throughout the evening.

Went to Baan Thia for the first time on Saturday 10th March for family celebration the food was fantastic the service superb would highly recommend this restaurant

Amazing food and amazing service! Chicken Satay was amazing, seabass was cooked crispy and to perfection. Only negative, is that doesn't tell you it is covered in batter, easily taken off though!

Lovely food, great atmosphere and fantastic customer service. We ordered from the set menu which was plenty of food for 2. The staff couldn’t do enough for us.

To be fair, the food generally is nice, look pretty and taste good. But one issue, there were only 2 staff in restaurant, need waiting for a long time to be servered. Another is fruit in dessert menu is not fresh, restaurant explained they bought mango yesterday, but there is no causality between fresh fruit and shopping yesterday lol. The waitress’s and waiter’s attitude, ummm, could be better.

The food was great as always, fast friendly service. Has a good atmosphere which is warm and welcoming. Shame the early bird no longer includes prawns.

The food and service was excellent . Our first visit on valentines days and will definitely be returning . Only one isssue is that we was sat at the back of the restaurant near a door and it got very cold at times . Great place and great food though

We had a lovely meal at the newly refurbished Bhan Thai. It looked beautiful. It was warm. The service was to notch. The food delicious. We ve booked to go again!

Superb food and the décor is awesome. Might need to turn down the jazz as it was quite loud. However that aside highly highly recommended. One of the best Pad Thai's I've ever eaten, here or in Thailand.

First time visiting since it has been done up. Food just as amazing as before and staff courteous and efficient. There was a slight language barrier between myself and one waitress. However it is an authentic Thai restaurant so I imagine some of that is to be expected. We had a lovely time as always and the new decor has improved the intimacy of the venue and the music adds atmosphere too.

Great food, lovely staff but very slow service. We booked for 7pm, no drinks for 20 mins, starters came just after 8pm. Just under two and a half hours in total. A good place to go if you have plenty of time!

Always great tasting food. Excellently presented. Wonderfully polite staff. Service is prompt but not to quick or pushy. Accommodating for late tables too. FAB! FAB! FAB! Thank you to all at Baan Thai

Very nice food and atmosphere. Can get a bit cold if you are sitting near the door, best to ask for a table toward the back.

Visited first time on Christmas Eve for our family Christmas night out. Absolutely fantastic meal & brilliant staff. Booking again for our birthdays in January

The place, the food and the staff were amazing. I felt like I'm in Thailand again. I'll go back to this restaurant in the near future for sure.
