Balajee Spice is the answer you should give (or get) to the question: ‘where is a good Indian restaurant on the east side of the Tay?’ Situated right on Main Street just over the bridge from Perth City Centre, Balajee Spice offers not only superlative Indian cuisine – we’ll get back to that – but also a sophisticated, ambient setting, with elegant decor, modern furniture and wooden floorboards creating a warm atmosphere. But let’s get back to the food. You’ll find a lot of familiar favourites (think rogan josh, vegetable pakora, vindaloo, bhoona, biryani, korma and the like) though of a quality and depth of flavour uncommon at most Indian restaurants. This Bridgend stalwart is also a place to try some truly special dishes and uncover something new – we can’t recommend strongly enough the Ceylonese chicken curry (a fragrant concoction of coconut cream, lemon juice and green chillies) or the house-special handi (a rich, smooth tomato-based curry cooked in a traditional clay pot).
we had a lovely meal, good sized plateful. Polite service, would go again but probably wouldn’t have as much to eat next time. Maybe have a take away instead.
good food, fabulous starters, nice chap, fair pricing. What more can I say? clean and tidy. fast service, limited wine choice, would love to go again soon.
You won't be dissapointed with this restaurant the food and service is first class , we will definately be returning for another most enjoyable meal.
