Bringing the exotic flavours of Thailand to London, Ban Yai is a charming Thai restaurant on Watermill Way. With exposed brick walls, Ban Yai provides a cosy setting for indulging in authentic Thai cuisine in. Whet your appetite with some chicken satay or por pia (deep-fried spring rolls stuffed with clear bean noodles and shredded vegetables served with a chilli sauce). Then try some traditional pad thai, or go for some kaeng dang (Thai red curry in a coconut milk with aubergines, red & green peppers, bamboo shoots, chilli, lime leaves, and Thai basil). Popular with the Southeast Asian cuisine loving foodies of Colliers Wood and the surrounding areas, Ban Yai can get busy. Book a table in advance to avoid disappointment!
Super friendly and accommodating of prams. Yummy food as always. Would def recommend for Thai food. We’re open early for our booking and patient too
Really friendly place with great service and yummy food. The teas and soups are particularly exceptional. They have a varied menu with some quite fun specials too.
service was top notch, food delishiouse, great range, very very very reasonable priced, i dont know why anyone would eat at the tandem center when the food there is sooooo good and such a varietly
Fresh food served with a smile. Best restaurant in Abbey Mills by far! Love these guys. Please drop by for either an express lunch or romantic dinner. This place caters for all occasions great and small. Thanks Ban Yai
Food was tasty and well presented. Service was okay. Have had much better Thai food elsewhere, hence the rating of 4. The area around the table we were at could do with a clean, especially the walls.
Good food and very friendly service. Servings just the right size and a good selection of dishes to choose from. Nice setting and ambience. Highly recommended
Friendly staff, light and tasty food - not heavy or greasy! My kids enjoyed it too so will come again. It was a delicious evening.
Great food and friendly service, I highly recommend. On par with some of the best Thai restaurants in the area (we've tried them all ;)
