Located on Hanover Street in Edinburgh’s New Town, Bar Soba fuses together the best street food dishes from all across Asia, bringing the flavours of Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, China and beyond to the Scottish capital. With stylish, industrial-chic decor and walls covered in street art, Bar Soba attracts the city’s hipsters and aficionados of Asian cuisine, seven days a week. Whether you’re craving some katsu curry, some nasi goreng or aromatic red duck, the menu has no shortage of options. We recommend the Thai fish and chips (a seabass fillet filled with a blend of prawns and lime leaf deep-fried in a tempura batter and served with chilli fries, mango salad, coriander mayo and sweet chilli sauce) paired with a Zen Garden (Roney vodka shaken with basil, Yellow Chartreuse liqueur and grapefruit juice).
The meal was delightful and enjoyed by all three of us.In particular, the pork belly sauce was superb.Service was excellent. All three of us would go again without hesitation.
This is our second visit. Good atmosphere and excellent food. Everyone enjoyed the different dishes and we all had a share of the food. Will definitely be returning
Great food and drinks, both at very reasonable prices. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Great choice for veggies and gluten free. A great experience, definitely check it out!
