We mentioned the fantastic breakfasts that alone have made Battersea Grill a go-to destination for hungry morning larks in London. At lunchtime, expect the sandwich counter to be busy with people looking for simple, rustic sarnies on French bread or brown ciabatta. Gourmet options abound, too, with the Master Special sandwich laying chicken escalope, mozzarella, basil and chilli sauce on ciabatta, with a side of chips. There’s more to this Battersea Bridge Road standby: generously sized omelettes, soups of the day, fresh salads, pasta, jacket potatoes, homemade steak and kidney pies, and the biggest burgers in Battersea are, so to speak, the icing on the cake.
