The staff are always so attentive and helpful . The refill tea and coffee is a great idea!! The food was excellent highly recommended to all my friends
Fantastic frienday staff with excellent personal service. Good varied menu with plenty of coffee top ups. Highly recommend the homemade quiche and chocolate brownie. Lovely.
first time visiting here for a carvery and we weren't disappointed. the service was great and so was the food .plenty of choice and all very hot .would highly recommend and we will be returning
Only draw back was opening time on Sunday Service was excellent and food very very good would recommend But better offer notice of overnight accommodation would have been a great help instead of M54, M6 and M42 journey time to meet 8.30 opening time
We booked a table for 4 at 2.45pm (Sunday) so we were shown to our table promptly. The restaurant was clean, tidy and well staffed. It was busy but not packed (we went later in the day so quieter). I liked that both the meat and the veg was served to you instead of helping yourself as it kept the serving area cleaner. Plenty of meat: Beef, Turkey, Pork & Gammon (which was so tender and delicious), Flavoursome stuffing and huge Yorkie Puds plus you could have as much veg you wanted (I am addicted to Roasters and server was happy to put as many as I wanted on). If you wanted more you could go up for 2nds. Good selection of veg which was cooked perfectly: Carrots, Broccoli, Cauli Cheese, Red cabbbage, Cheesey Leek Bake (To.Die.For!), Green Beans, Parsnips, Roast Potatoes and New Potatoes Gravy was thinner than I like as a rule but it was sooo flavoursome I still really loved it. Selection of sauces available to compliment your meal. This was a little dearer than we normally pay for a carvery £13.50 Adult & £6.50 Child 12 and under (this includes a pudding as well which my boys loved: Choc Brownie & ice Cream and Strawberry Eton Mess with homemade merginue!) BUT it was well worth the money as all was so tasty. We were stuffed and didnt need to eat tea until late on the night! The staff looked after us really well, checked we were ok for drinks and asked if meal was ok. Staff were attentive without making us feel rushed. All in all we really enjoyed our meal and are looking forward to our next visit. In fact the only con was that we visited the farm shop after and spent a small fortune on yummy bits and bobs!
If you want excellent food, served by friendly efferent professional staff within pleasant child friendly surroundings, at competitive prices, then Beckett's Farm Restaurant is the place for you. I've sometimes arrive at 7.30am for breakfast "old faithful is by favourite with it's bottom less pot of tea or coffee" some time lunch and now I can say I've tried all of the adult dished and enjoyed them all. Do try their Crumbles! For a change do try their afternoon high tea, Always worth a visit. try to book in advance as they do get busy but it never seem to effect the quality of their food or service
Today was the first time my family and l had been for a meal at Beckett's Farm but it certainly won't be the last! There were five of us including one vegetarian. Four of us had the carvery meal which l have to say was probably the best one l have ever had. All the meat tasted delicious and was perfectly cooked. There was a very good selection of vegetables including one or two that l had not seen offered at a carvery before. The portions were very generous even for my 29 year old son who has a hearty appetite! I believe you can go up for a further helping too! The only criticism l would give is there is only one vegetarian option which my daughter confirmed was very good but if we were planning to go on a regular basis might get a little boring. I was glad to see there was a fish option too. On the whole a really enjoyable experience with friendly and efficient staff.
We arrived earlier than our reserved time but there was no problem getting us seated. The menu soon appeared and although short on numbers of dishes on offer we already had decided to try the carvery. We had a starter between us of King Prawns that were tasty and crunchy without being too heavy. A short wait in line brought us to the chef who carved generous slices of beef or pork or turkey or gammon or a combitation of all four. The yorkshire puddings were large and light and the variety of vegetables were well cooked. There was a table at the end of the line full of sauces and mustard to season lunch to your own preference. We had no room for dessert and even asked for the remainder of our roasts to be wrapped to be taken away with us. All in all a delicious meal fit to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary.
Unfortunately Beckett's Farm Restaurant seems to have become a victim of it's own success. We have a regular breakfast meeting there every 4/5 weeks. Whilst the food is still good quality, the service, though still very friendly, has become quite poor. We have taken to booking on line since arriving without doing so has recently meant a 40 minute wait for the table. At our last visit we shown to our table right away, ordered quickly and then had a 35 minute wait for the food to arrive. We only ordered breakfast, coffee and juice. We got two out of three - we're still waiting for the juice. There's a lot of competition out there for this type of restaurant, if Beckett's don't up their game they'll lose their customers. Boston Tea Party anyone?
A friend and I went for afternoon tea. Nadine was very attentive whilst still leaving us to chat as we wanted. The food was lovely and well presented. We sat for a long time and nattered, only to discover that the restaurant should have closed half an hour before we left but the very kind waitress had let us just carry on and had waited for us to finish our food and conversation before closing up. Thank you Nadine. My only suggestion would be that you make it clearer on the website that the restaurant closes at an earlier time to the rest of the site - or you change the time the restaurant closes to match the shops.
First thing to say is; book! There was a group of 4 of us for Sunday morning breakfast in August. We really didn't think it would be busy. Decided to book a table 4 days in advance-we couldn't get a table for the time we wanted! Fully booked. So we had to book for an earlier time. I can see why it was fully booked. The service was excellent and the food was just awesome. I have a big appetite and couldn't finish mine. All 4 of us had their signature breakfast The Old Faithful. It was just fantastic. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
A lovely place for either a cup of coffee and a cake or a full blown meal. We went for breakfast and it was fantastic. There are different sizes of breakfast to suit large and small appetites. The sausages a bacon were very tasty and not fatty at all and we chose to have limitless filter coffee which was really nice coffee. Would recommend a visit, not just for the food but the farm shop is fantastic as well. The cake section looked fantastic, did resist though but next time will indulge. Well worth the drive and staff were really nice as well.
Beckett's Farm Restaurant: sermonises with excellent food, excellent service by friendly professional staff that make the whole experience very enjoyable. All this and still excellent value for money. Don't think twice try for your self, whether it be breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea you will not be disappointed
Food was lovely and hot which was good as last few times (several months ago, we stopped going because of it) it was only lukewarm. Had the veggie breakfast and to be honest, not sure what purpose the 'wilted spinach' served, would rather have had a few more mushrooms or a bigger beefsteak tomato. Also, would prefer the Linda McCartney type veggie sausages than the actual vegetable ones you serve but that's just my taste. Thought the waiter, Luke, was great, lovely lad and nothing too much trouble. Real credit to you.
I would highly recommend this place for a great family breakfast. The staff were very attentive and the food was of a very high quality. There is also plenty of room for the little ones to wander around. If you get time pop into the shed at the back to see the animals and I would recommend taking home some food from the on site store. As we pre-booked there was no waiting time. The atmosphere was good and whilst people were chatting the noise was not too much.
As usual excellent food, excellent service by, friendly and professional staff that make the visit an enjoyable experience. Always a pleasure to visit Beckett's Farm Restaurant as I know I will have food cooked and served to the highest standards. Well worth a visit.
I booked Beckett's Farm breakfast for my birthday. The restaurant itself is lovely and we were welcomed and shown to our seats. However my mother ordered a tea when it arrived it was spilt on her and covered her arms and trousers, luckily it wasn't boiling! One of the Party asked a staff member if the breakfast came with fried bread, she was told it didn't, so ordered more. When the food arrived they ended up with 4 pieces of fried bread, despite being told it didn't come with fried bread in the first place. We also ordered extra black pudding, when this wasn't brought out we asked two members of staff for the missing item. We never received the black pudding, however the staff did remove it from the bill. The food itself is of good quality and I genuinely believe that we were just unlucky that day as it was a Saturday morning. I hope my next visit it better.
Visited on Sunday 19th for my moms birthday was very disappointed from start to finish small silly issues, we had ordered tea to drink and wasn't bought enough cups then we had our food come we was missing black pudding and toast. The bacon on mine and my husbands sharing platter was a green/ grey colour and barely cooked firstly I'm suprised the cook sent it out ? I have worked in catering for years and always thought would I eat it? And if answers no I wouldn't send it!!! I asked for fresh bacon and could it be a little more cooked and basically the same bacon I sent back which was just cooked again. When we asked for the bill we was over charged on tea which was awful weak tea to say you charge £2.50 per pot it tastes like you use very basic tea bags. We also queried a charge of extra black pudding as we though it came on the old faithful breakfast , the waitress was very abrupt and sharp with us I really felt this could of been delt with in a nicer way we wasn't arguing just asking! Over all very disappointed eith a breakfast that cost £56.90. Would I return? Not in a hurry which is such a shame because I have heard very good things about the lunch menu. We were order number 132799 and Kathryn was our waitress. Regards
Amazing food as always however one member of staff was particularly rude when telling us we had to wait for our table because they hadn't set up the carvery yet. She just told us to wait in the coffee shop for 5 minutes and didn't explain why we couldn't just take ours seats (she left that to someone else to explain when I went back 5 mins later to see if we could sit down yet and they still weren't ready). Anyway, the food was amazing but the same member of staff barged past us as we were exiting the restaurant after eating, clearly having no time to wait for just a few seconds to let us leave without having to squash against the barrier as she so determinedly rushed past us. Good job we come to Beckett's for the food really as this one woman really made our experience one that could stop us returning.
Beckett's Farm Restaurant. Always good food, prepared well and served by friendly professional staff in pleasant surrounding that are child friendly yet add to a welcoming experience. Whether it breakfast, lunch or high tea you will not be disappointed
Excellent beef, nice vegetables although the roast potatoes weren't crisp, brilliant service, lots of family's - many with young children so definitely family friendly, delicious desserts, alcohol is available, a bit noisy when full due to the profusion of hard surfaces so possibly not the place for an intimate lunch date but overall one of the best carveries I've had in a long time, the meat is a cut above the normal carvery fare.
The good: no loud music! Harder and harder to find these days. Varied range of coffee options including filter and decaf in a cafetiere. Coffee was good. Gluten free toast available. The bad: I found the breakfast disappointing. The bacon didn't have much flavour and the bland sausage was closer to what you'd expect at a roadside caff than at a restaurant attached to a farm business. In my opinion the equivalent Wetherspoons breakfast is tastier because the meat's much more flavourful. If I came here again, I'd stick to vegetarian options. However, you do get more hash browns with the small full English than at Spoons.
Produce quality is always excellent at Becketts and always perfectly cooked and presented. The staff are delightful without exception and whenever we have visitors we always take them to Becketts for breakfast or lunch followed by a stroll around the shop and a few naughty purchases. It's where we come when it's time for a BBQ and it's where we come to order our Christmas ham and turkey - nowhere better!
We enjoyed an excellent lunch, well cooked and well served. The price was very reasonable for such a meal. The menu offers a chef's specials section, which we chose, but also a good varied choice of other meals. There is a large car parking area, and a large shop with a great choice of local produce. We shall certainly return to eat (and shop) at Beckets in the near future
We visited Becketts Farm Restaurant today for breakfast and had a fantastic experience. Our food was delicious and our server Luke was top class. My mother and mother in law visited on the 1st April for afternoon tea as we purchased a voucher for them for Mother's Day. They too said they had a delightful experience. All round very happy customers who will be returning very soon.
A disappointing visit after hearing lots of good reviews. Our table requested 2 bottles of fizzy water but we were told that there was only one bottle left so one person had to have something else. There was confusion over puddings for my daughter. After she choose off the menu she ordered the waffles with butterscotch only to be told that that was the wrong menu and she needed to choose off the kids menu. We were then told that there was only one portion of crumble left but no cheese cake off the dessert menu. We had gone to Becketts to celebrate my moms birthday and because we had heard lots of good things about it but we were very disappointed. Unfortunately we won't return for a carvery again.
Fabulous food and good service. As they cook everything to order, they often advise that there will be a 20 minute wait for some dishes. This makes people change their minds about what to eat because they do not want to make their friends wait so long. We kept having to ask for the air con to be turned off as it was so cold! Other than that, a lovely visit and we've already booked to go again!
Excellent, friendly service, great choice of food - whether you wanted a main course or a lunch and great quality food at very reasonable prices. Two of us had the Ploughman's and thought the Scotch Egg & Pork Pie were lovely. One of our party had the Chicken Supreme and was very impressed and the Burger went down too. Mince Pies and Coffee washed things down well. Perhaps, a greater choice of beer would have been nice.
Took my mum for afternoon tea, we were seated promptly and our waitress was very friendly. Wasn't a very long wait for our food, the sandwiches were very nice and the scones were fresh - still warm in fact! Cakes were delicious too but we had to take them home as we were so full! Overall had a lovely time and will definitely return!
We were early for table of 4, they accommodated us and got us in a little earlier but half the restaurant was empty! Took a long time for food to come out (well over 1/2 hour) so long we even asked how long it would be. Then when we finished a waitress took half the plates away and we had to wait another 15 mins before she returned to take the others, this is fine, what bothered me is there were a handful of other waitresses stood around chatting and hugging each other while we had dirty plates in front of us. The food was limited in choice, mediocre taste, and not the cheapest meal out. We won't return, would rather spend our money elsewhere.
We visited Becketts with friends. The staff were extremely helpful & accommodating & we would definitely go back. We have a baby & I was particularly nervous about going out as it is early days but the staff made us feel very relaxed & we were not rushed. We were also able to move to a bigger table to accommodate our 2 babies which given it was a Saturday & busy we were very grateful.
The restaurant is invariably busy weekends so its advisable to book. Once booked we walked in and were taken immediately to our table. The food quality and service is excellent. They claim to serve the best breakfast in the midlands and I cant argue with that. I sometimes drive 20 or 30 miles out of my way to catch a Beckets Breakfast.
Excellent service from the start of our visit we couldn't fault the staff. We had booked a table for 1.30pm and arrived early at 1pm and were seated immediately, our table was attended by several members of staff and were always checking on our wellbeing. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend this restaurant. Well done to everyone concerned. Trevor and Tracey
This is the first time I have been to Beckett's not on a Sunday, and we had our 4-year-old grandson with us. I was a bit disappointed when the children's meal that he chose arrived - the 'mini hot dog' was very unappetising (just a full-size sausage in a not very mini roll), and the milk shake that he asked for was HUGE, in my view even for an adult. Sorry, Beckett's - we've always been very happy with the Sunday carvery, but this didn't seem to be you at your best.
Our waitress was Sinead, a very polite, efficient and personable young lady. The breakfast was cooked well, presentable and with ample servings. As a result of our experience we stayed on longer than planned and purchased more, a testament to the ambiance created. one problem...i did not have enough change to leave a well deserved tip for Sinead...next time!
Carvery was absolutely delicious! Cannot fault it. Service was excellent! Really friendly servers. Puddings were slightly disappointing, most had nuts in eg crumble had nuts, brownies had almonds in. We had to send brownies back as had a lot of almonds in which wasn't listed on menu. So I feel pudding menu could do with a tweak. There was no quibble on changing pudding tho, so overall happy customers x
Always top service and quality food at competitive prices. Weather you arrive at 7.30am and order old faithful big breakfast or lunchtime and have the daily special or even arrive for afternoon tea you always greeted by friendly staff who take time to make you feel welcome. my personal favourite is the crumbles, Try one they are special.
Arrived with family for a birthday breakfast. Received by very friendly, attentive staff. Advised there would be a slight wait for food as restaurant very busy. Looked after very well whilst waiting. Food arrived when promised, well presented & delicious! Very helpful, friendly waiter called Luke served us. We will look forward to many more visits. Thankyou!
Have eaten breakfast at Becketts on many occasions. Service has always been inconsistent, sometimes you get good service then other times its appalling. Pretty average on my recent visit. took a while after being seated for someone to take our order. The food arrived in an acceptable time. They offer free refills on coffee and tea, but you have a job in getting someones attention to get a refill. Restaurant management has always been lacking and needs addressing. Overall good quality food but questionable service.
Great service - would have been full marks but veg selection was not as good as normal - no red cabbage and broccoli ran out whilst we were in queue - despite there being signs on each table saying seasonal veg were red cabbage and sprouts neither of which were available. They had also run out of brownies for the kids carvery but did replace with a muffin.
Knowing it was a bank holiday we booked a table ahead. We arrived on time and was shown to our reserved table. The restaurant was busy but that's nothing unusual for Becketts The order was a little late in being taken. The food arrived but the portions (Breakfast platter for 4) seem to have been down sized compared to similar orders we've placed in past visits. There were no checks during our meal, and try to get a refill on drinks..... no chance. Bottomless coffee, you just get one. This is something which I've mentioned to the staff on previous visits but nothing has changed. the restaurant manager was useless. My wife complained of the poor service and his answer. 'well i thought it was going alright' No apology and totally blase attitude. We received a discount on the bill but that's little compensation for poor service. Don't think I'll be rushing back for the 'best breakfast in the midlands experience' any time soon. Becketts buck your ideas up.
Being with a pensioner with only a small appetite ,was disappointed that we wasn't able to purchase a small meal for him. maybe this is something that you may wish to consider adding to your menu ? Wait for drinks was longer than i would of expected and cream for dessert came out much later than rest of puds so we we had finished, he had only just started. saying that the food we had was delicious even if a little over priced.
Friendly staff , clean restaurant. But of a wait for food but to be expected for cooked to order. A bit unclear why as OH had opted to upgrade to Cumberland Sausage it took longer to arrive but no great shakes. The Skinny Breakfast I had if being totally honest could have been a lot hotter and for a 'healthy' version the bacon was very fatty. However the poached eggs were the best I've had in some time and the bottomless coffee excellent
Our table was ready and waiting for us when we arrived and our drinks order was taken immediately followed shortly by our food order. The restaurant was packed but we did not have to wait long for our meals. We both had a breakfast each and it was excellent. We can thoroughly recommend Becketts Farm.
The service and food at Becketts farm restaurant was well upto std have used the restaurant on a regular basis and never had cause to complain, the staff are friendly and proffesional i will continue to eat there without concern. I would reccomend people try for themselves the menu is suitable for al;l tastes
Our first visit and we were quite impressed. Staff were attentive & on the ball & food was beautifully cooked (especially the meat which is not always the case in a lot of places sadly). Had my elderly parents with us who are very particular with their Sunday roasts and they were well impressed!
Nice, clean restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff. Really good quality food, mostly locally sourced. Dietary requirements catered for i.e. gluten free options available without any fuss. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU BOOK AHEAD OF TIME OR YOU MAY BE DISAPPOINTED. I've noticed some comments regarding the unavailability of seats although there appear to be several vacant tables - it's because they've been pre-booked and reserved.
Becketts Farm is a fantastic place to enjoy a Sunday carvery. The food is delicious and locally sourced, and the friendly staff make you feel right at home. Theres always a nice vegetarian option too. The only thing I'd like to see is a few more beer options on the drink menu.
An excellent brunch, six of us had the Old Faithful with different combinations of food items, all arrived in good time and correct. Lots of toast and fried bread, a bit too much which was rather wasteful. Staff were friendly and all joined in when we sang Happy Birthday to my mother who was 77 that day. Overall a good experience.
Everything was lovely, Service was excellent the food was delicious, the shop is equally as astonishing. Prices are also very reasonable for the food provided, meat quality is exceptionally high. We always travel from Warwick to buy any meet products there. Would highly recommend it for shipping and eating out.
