Bringing a slice of Neapolitan culture to London’s Fulham area, it doesn’t really get much more authentic than the pizza served up at Bellillo Restaurant. Bellillo in Neapolitan dialect means ‘cute’, and this pizza joint is certainly pleasing on the eye with its stylish yet traditional decor. Tucked away on Munster Road, Bellillo restaurant is a hidden gem, so do yourself a favour and stop by to grab a slice of the doughy, organic, provola cheese-topped action!
With rustic wooden furniture and exposed brick walls, Bellillo Restaurant’s interior is as homely as the cuisine on offer. Part of the slow food movement which promotes regional traditions, good food and a slow pace of life, Bellillo Restaurant over in London’s Fulham reflects this ethos in their cooking, which uses sustainable and organic produce sourced from their native Naples.
Some of the delicious offerings available include the ripieno fritto (a fried folded pizza stuffed with pork crackling, artisan provola cheese, buffalo ricotta cheese from the Campania region and black pepper) and the paternopoli (broccoli, Neapolitan sausage, artisan provola cheese, EVO oil and basil). In true Italian style, London’s Bellillo boasts a carefully curated list of wines from Italy that will accompany your selection perfectly. For the last course, the dolcezza del vesuvio (chocolate mousse in a volcano shape filled with orange cream, apricots with vanilla, cocoa biscuits and chili threads) is the perfect way to end your trip to Bellillo Restaurant on Fulham’s Munster Road - bellissimo!
Great food in a lovely atmosphere. Very good pizzas and an amazing and friendly service
Best organic and traditional neapolitan style pizza in London. Lucariello with yellow tomatoes and nduja is my favourite. Wide selection of dessert from the Amalfi Coast by Sal De Riso
It is one of the best pizzas in London . The ingredients are very carefully selected and the dough is very good . The cakes come from an artisan patisserie in the Amalfi coast ( Sal De Riso ) and their ricotta and pears cake is to die for ! All in all a great place . Only thing I personally disagree with is the choice of only artisanal craft beers, which, in my opinion, does not match well with pizza . A perfectly bog standard Peroni or Moretti or Menabrea would make the pizzas shine more. Anyway a great place where I will go back often . Staff are very nice and courteous too, so top marks for that
