About Ben's Canteen - Earlsfield

Ben’s Canteen Earlsfield London is what happens when someone gets up off their arse and actually decides to follow their dreams. A few years ago, Ben, as a person who had always loved the pub, realised that Southwest London needed a relaxed eatery perfect for brunch and daytime drinking. Having always wanted to open an establishment of his own, it made sense then that Ben’s Canteen came to be. Firstly located in Clapham Junction, before a second outlet opened in Earlsfield on Garratt Lane with a third one in the pipeline, this is one cool spot. So, if authentic American-style burgers, wine, brunch, sharing plates, cocktails and loaded fries sound right up your alley, book a table today!

The service is friendly and started off well. Our food was generally good quality. Most dishes match their "Epic" description on the menu, provided you order sides. The Chimmichurri Sauce served with my steak is delicious. However I was dining with a vegan friend, whose options are limited at Ben’s. He chose the "Awesome Veggie Burger" which was markedly underwhelming: a fried slice of mashed sweet potato in a bun. He said it was mushy with no texture or crunchiness. It didn’t look appetising. The prices of the burgers don't include fries, but fortunately we had ordered extra side dishes; so finally there was plenty to eat. The restaurant wasn’t busy but it still took ages to pay.

Great attentive service, yummy food as always and reasonably priced (had a free bottle of wine voucher which was handy too!). Will be back again soon
