Enjoy the very best of the Mediterranean kitchen over at Sydney’s Billy the Greek, a Greek restaurant that’s been taking the Dural area by storm. For over two decades, the eponymous Billy Diacos has been dishing out his signature Greek specialities that are known to turn first timers into fanatics. Found on Old Northern Road, this restaurant features a wide range of traditional dishes alongside more contemporary options, as well as plenty of delicious meze. Billy the Greek makes their own delicious bread, and if you like pasta we highly recommend the bolognaise or lamb shank pasta in an incredible tomato and oregano sauce. Not a fan of meat? Order the vegetarian moussaka and indulge in casserole to end all casseroles. Be sure to reserve in advance because Billy gets busy!
Dear diners, please note that reservations on a Friday and Saturday night are for 2 hours.
If you love Mediterranean and Greek grub, you’ll be obsessed with all that Billy the Greek on Old Northern Road in Sydney’s Dural has to offer. There’s a lot more to Greek food than feta cheese and olives, and at Billy the Greek you can taste all kinds of different dishes from this elaborate and flavoursome cuisine. Their lunch offering features lots of hot and cold dishes such as spanakopita salad with spinach and feta wrapped in pastry parcels or dolmathes which are herbed rice rolls wrapped in vine leaves and served with a tasty tzatziki dip.
If you’re looking for a proper feast around Dural during the evening you should head to Billy the Greek with a gang of friends or the whole family, and order off their banquet menu. Offering excellent value at $50 for sharing platters of ten different dishes, this is the perfect way to kick back and taste lots of different menu items at this super Sydney spot. Otherwise, if you’re heading to Billy the Greek for a spot of casual dinner, make sure you try some of their fantastic seafood like garlic prawns tossed in a creamy garlic sauce and served with rice or the crispy fresh local white bait, lightly-floured and fried with a spritz of lemon to enhance the flavours. Book ahead to beat the crowds!
The meal was nice, the service pleasant and the parking convenient, thanks to Mr Woolworths. We will return with our friends on June 8th. Please send me the menu for the banquet. Regards Tim Fenton
Lovely meal, unrushed and great service. Restaurant was packed on a week night, so that says a lot. Food was terrific. Had requested a special area of the restaurant if possible and as soon as I arrived the owner came over to personally explain why he could not accommodate the request on this occasion (which was fine with me).
This is my second time to Billy the Greek and once again it didn't disappoint! Brilliant food, service and atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Excellent food, friendly service! Easy going atmosphere! Although it was a school night!
Once again we enjoyed a wonderful meal at Billy the Greeks. I had the paella which came in a very large bowl and was mouth watering. It was a struggle to finish and the waitress suggested I take home what I could not eat. So for lunch the next day I had paella again and it was just as yummy as the night before. Of course I had to be a pig and wanted desert and chose the baklava. Wow. Never had baklava like that before. Absolutely fantastic. Billy always comes around to each table to say hello and to make sure everything is alright. The waitresses are just delightful, so friendly and helpful. This is a wonderful place to eat and have an enjoyable evening.
Lovely traditional Greek food with a very diverse menu across various meat, seafood and vegetarian speciality's means plenty to chose from. A relaxed mediterranean feel to the restaurant and its decor complements the friendly and engaging staff who strive to make it a family dining experience, with all the action in the kitchen helping to feel like you are someone's guest in their home (a busy Greek home!). A comprehensive beverage menu ably supports your dining with a nice selection of cocktails (I can recommend the Pina Collada), beer and wine, perfect to build the atmosphere and your appetite. I can thoroughly recommend Billy the Greek for a special night out.
Great night at Billy The Greek restaurant. Good range of food on the menu and reasonably priced. Also vegetarian options. The service was very good too and it is nice that the chef Billy takes the time to talk to his customers throughout the night. Will definitely return particularly as the vegetarian moussaka was delicious.
Billy the Greek is just what the Hills needs. The is restuarant has charm, good food, welcoming staff and a family atmosphere. We took our family out to try the new place wnd wasn't disappointed. Billy's Mum's Lamb casserole was delicious & perfect for a still cool spring night. Lightly battered Calamari is perfect for the kids or as a mains. Desserts to die for! The best thing was that Billy was on hand all night to welcome, assist and thank his diners. This place will soon become a family favourite.
This is a wonderful, cheerful, open restaurant. You can see right into the kitchen, where head chef Billy can be seen working frantically and merrily whistling or singing away! The food is amazing, you can't go past the banquet - it's a lot of food but they will happily package up what you don't finish! The staff were all really happy, friendly, and fun, and the experience was just 100% great. Make sure you book your table as they do get very busy! And save room for dessert, it's worth it.
Fantastic from the moment we walked in! The staff were very attentive at all times to our needs and oh so very friendly. The food was amazingly delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant as it is reasonably priced with very, very generous portions. We were so happy last week that this week we are taking the rest of the family and have already booked, Do make sure to book as many people know that they are on a good thing with Billy the Greek and many people go. Enjoy!!😃
