Up and down the length of Great Britain, one can find curry houses that are exceptional. Not all Indian restaurants were created equal, however, and it can often be difficult to discern the good from the bad and the decent from the great. Longevity is one of the best recommendations possible, and at Bombay Palace, they certainly have time on their side. They’ve been a fixture on the restaurant scene in Kingsthorpe for yonks, and, under the diligent supervision of Latif, the proprietor, they have never allows the standard to drop. Their menu is focussed on the classics, but done as well as they can be – tikka from the tandoori, baltis and biryanis, veggie curries and pillowy naans – and a fair few chef’s specials to keep the regulars guessing, such as their jhinga Sylheti, king prawns marinating spices, barbecued in the tandoor and served with spinach and rich. Book a table at Bombay Palace and take a trip to Welford Road for one of Northampton’s best curry houses.
I had forgotten that the restaurant offered a Healthy options menu so we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and the staff were attentive. We spent a lot of time chatting and were not rushed by staff to leave
We can not fault it. The service was very good the food arrived very quick & the food was hot and delicious all good value.
Excellent food and service. Didn't leave a scrap. Recommend eating here if you are looking for Indian cuisine!
Reasonable food at a reasonable price, not the best by no means, the food wasn't served as hot as I'd like but there were no major complaints
