The same team that brought you ‘Flying Fish Sushi delivery’ now brings you Bon Bori Restaurant, offering a modern exciting take on Japanese cuisine; serving tempura, dumplings, noodles, rice dishes and of course their incredible sushi. Signature dishes include Special Rolls, Asian Paella, and Beef Fillet Teriyaki. If you haven’t already, you should definitely try Sake - a rice wine that is made by multiple fermentation of rice – and have some sakana or otsumami. Located in the heart of Southwark, Central London, the Bon Bori is ready for you to enter modern Japan!
Looking at the interior design of the brand new Bon Bori you will recognize lots of aspects of contemporary Japanese art. The manga paintings on the walls and a cold Asahi beer will give you the feeling of sitting right in the heart of vibrant Tokyo! At Bon Bori, the emphasis is very much on the casual side: “We prefer to let the food do the talking, it’s great to see our customers get genuinely excited about what they’re eating. We love changing their perceptions of what sushi is, being told ‘this is the best sushi I have ever had’ or ‘I didn’t think I liked sushi until I tried your sushi’ is what gets us excited”.
Bon Bori is situated in a converted Railway Arch on a small side street (Scoresby St), just off Blackfriars Road by Southwark Tube station, and is conveniently located for the many theatres and bars of the area, open 7 days a week, from 12 midday till late. Bon Bori will show you what the Japanese cuisine really is about. The friendly and experienced staff will navigate you through the diverse menu and help you pick your very own Japanese favourite. By the way, with the Tate Modern gallery in walking distance, this place is perfectly situated for a day full of new impressions!
Great food in a basic but well designed set up. Too much good food to choose from and we all left happy. We will definitely go back or maybe even get a take away.
Good food at table, very quiet in the restaurant but kitchen buzzing with take out orders from the city. Great for a business catch up; atmosphere would be better if it was busier.
Fabulous food at a busy time of day but we got served quickly and the waitress was very helpful explaining how to order. Most importantly the food was great.
