Food was great- Pork Leg and Beef were exceptional Service was quite haphazard

Noisy and bustling place! Our service was very quick, our meal was over within an hour, but a little chaotic. No menus for a while, and I cringed when a table across from us had to wait 45mins to place an order. The restaurant was packed with a good atmosphere, but I'm not sure the service was up to the full capacity yet. Still, we had a great time and will return. Reasonable too!

Just brilliant - delicious food, fun cocktails, lovely vibe. Went here for a belated birthday celebration with some friends and it was exactly what we were looking for!

Everything about the trip to Bongbongs was superb. Service, atmosphere , But most of all the food. We went with a 14-year-old daughter and she absolutely loved it, she is a vegetarian and the choice was excellent. We also were talking about it in glowing terms this morning

The starters that we had were fantastic (the noodle salad, duck hearts and glazed chicken wings) but the main let the side down slightly. The beef was incredibly salty and the aubergine curry wasn’t as flavoursome as hoped. We also had the pork which was good but not as great as the waiter described. Good ambience though and reasonably priced.

Had high expectations as I had read some good reviews. Menu looked promising but unfortunately the food is average at best. Nicest thing I ate was the cucumber salad. The beef dish was ok but nothing to write home about. Pork was dry and flavourless but main issue with that dish is that it looked unappetising. Greyish piece of pork on the bone on a dark wooden board. Chicken wings were nice, noodle salad and aubergine just ok. - kind of flat on flavour. Will not be going back.

Great food, highly recommend a visit. We were one of the first to be seated so had to wait a short while for the food to arrive but definitely worth it

It was ok. The mackerel was yummy. Beef very very salty . The noodle salad was good. Everything came at once which was a bit weird and meant the table was too crowded (amazed I didn’t tip something over).All the food seemed to have the same sauce and nice side salad. Service was kind and enthusiastic if a bit random

Went here based on Grace Dent's Guardian review and she called it just right! Food was excellent - varied and tasty. My personal favourites were all vegetarian options but there is a good selection for meat eaters too. A special mention is needed for the aubergine kare kare, I'd rush back based this dish alone. This is not the venue for a romantic dinner but if you're looking for great tasting sharing street-food style cuisine you're in luck!
