More about the restaurant: Borsalino
The default destination for those looking to dine Italian in Peterculter, Borsalino has serious pedigree. Established in 1976 and now under second-generation owner Luca Balsamo and his team (including renowned tenor Salvatore), the longevity of Borsalino is the result of a commitment to authentic Italian cuisine and hospitality. So much so that you’ll find people eschewing central Aberdeen eateries in order to take the short trip out to Peterculter to indulge in the restaurant’s signature dishes and be treated to the friendliest service. Besides the main dining room, the Borsalino North Deeside Road address houses a large bar area that can seat up to 35 people for a private dining experience.
Please note, tables booked online are available for 2 hours only.

When a restaurant has been in the hands of the same family for over thirty years, there is a reason why it’s stood the test of time. And when the same restaurant, open since 1976, is only going from strength to strength, then it simply must be visited. This is the situation at Peterculter restaurant Borsalino, just thirty minutes out of Aberdeen, who have a stellar reputation as serving impeccable Italian cuisine alongside wonderful service, always with a smile.
The menu at Borsalino is an absolute delight with a selection of antipasti, pizza, pasta and secondi mains that will certainly whet your appetite. Try, for example, some starters to share like the bruschetta on crusty Italian bread, affettato misto of cured meat from northern Italy with mozzarella and focaccia or the classic caprese salad. For the main, we love Franco’s homemade lasagna with rich bolognese sauce, vitello limone of escalopes of veal in white wine, with lemon, gratin potatoes and seasonal vegetables or one of the traditional Italian-style pizzas cooked to perfection. You’ll find Borsalino along North Deeside Road in Peterculter out of Aberdeen, where Luca, Franco and the team will blow you away. Bookings are essential.
