Manchester’s Cafe Football, located directly at the historic Old Trafford and inside Hotel Football on Sir Matt Busby Way, provides guests with a fully immersive football experience, from the decoration of the restaurant to the names of the menu items. And while a themed restaurant often has the capacity to become cheesy, this Stretford restaurant keeps it classy with a modern, refined decor and a selection of comfort food classics and steakhouse favourites using only the best ingredients and high-quality seasonal produce. It’s abundantly clear that Cafe Football is a labour of love, and no detail, from the friendly service to the extensive wine selection, goes overlooked.
Homemade comfort food, bar snacks, decadently sweet desserts – Cafe Football’s menu delights snobby foodies even as it retains a laid-back vibe that still pleases rowdy football fans. Begin with a number of starters from The Kick Off section of the menu, ranging from nachos and chicken in a basket to salt chilli squid and the Sausage Platter, complete with chorizo, Salford Venison, Welsh dragon, lamb, blood and roll, mustard mayo and onion gravy. Move on to mains like chicken curry pie, aged rib eye steak or one of the restaurant’s famous burgers. An extensive wine and beverage menu adds another touch of class to this football lover’s favourite – make your reservation for a spot at Cafe Football in Manchester’s Stretford, right at Old Trafford.
everything about our visit was first class, the greeting, the staff the place and the food was excellent really liked the rooftop bar! looking forward to revisiting
great service, great food, great atmosphere definitely try it out, you will not be disappointed. great pre or post game... and extremely good value as well
Great atmosphere, food and service. Perfect end to an Old Trafford trip. Recommend the scholesy - great meal! Bonus of a photo with Phil Neville too.
Great food, friendly staff but a bit too loud unable to hold a proper conversation but overall another great afternoon at cafe football and watching the reds win.
I went with my 8 yr old and 6 yr old lads before the game and what a great pre match meal we had. The service was excellent and the food superb. I would describe it as posh pub food perfect for a match day meal. The boys especially loved going up to the sweet shop after the meal and getting their bag of sweets for pudding. The waitress took her time to talk the boys about the game, a really great experience (much better than the game which United lost!!). I was also expecting to have to pay a lot more as these captive audience places usually charge through the teeth but I was very pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the meal was.
Amazing views of the stadium! Lots of options, great place to go if you are bored with seeing the same old things old things on the menu. Kids menu could do with being simplified for the fussier child but great portions for my 10 year old.
Hotel was amazing. Couldn't fault it one bit! The rooms were lovely. We had a fantastic nights sleep. Fantastic view from our window over Old Trafford. Cafe football was really enjoyable with a fantastic breakfast in the morning.
Great atmosphere and food.look out for Garry Neville and Nicky butt wandering about.this is the second visit and we have booked again.if any complaints the background music is too loud.
Service and the food itself were excellent, however we had to wait almost an hour for desserts. Management of the shift was diabolical. Waiter informed them three times of issue with the kitchen, and no changes were made. Really poor considering it was a matchday!
Great food , great service and a great atmosphere. We were well looked after from front of house to floor service . Thank you .
Food was average quality and definetly overpriced, service was very slow and poor, nice atmosphere to watch football though. No sports memorabilia which was disappointing.
the service was excellent and the food really good, however, the dining area was smokey from cooking and the smell has lingered on our clothes.
