Italians are all about la dolce vita, and you can experience a taste of the good life right here in London at Caminetto. Located on Lambeth Road, Caminetto serves up rustic Italian cuisine made with love in a stylish setting. The perfect place for a romantic date, a leisurely lunch on the weekend, or an evening spent enjoying delectable Italian dishes with your loved ones, paired with a bottle of wine or two. Open seven days a week, Lambeth’s Caminetto is a favourite among local Italian cuisine lovers, so to guarantee a table making a reservation in advance is recommended.
Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen in London, but over in Lambeth, Caminetto is a name that stands out from the rest. With exposed brick walls and a quintessential Italian setting, Caminetto is bringing some Mediterranean elegance straight to Lambeth Road. Start off by sharing some antipasti like the parmigiana (baked aubergine with tomato sauce and parmesan) or the polpo alla luciana (wild Mediterranean octopus cooked in chilli pepper, garlic, cherry tomatoes, basil and white wine sauce), before moving on to your main.
From homemade pasta like the ravioli ricotta e spinaci (homemade fresh ravioli, stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese cooked in butter and sage sauce) to other Italian favourites like the scaloppina al limone (veal escalope cooked in lemon sauce, served with roast potatoes and salad), the menu is full of authentic, home-style cuisine cooked from scratch. The wine list is equally impressive, boasting a handpicked selection of Italian wines, the perfect accompaniment to your meal. For an authentic Italian dining experience without leaving London, simply book a table at Caminetto in Lambeth.
Hard to believe we were in a busy road in London - from the warm welcome to the excellent food and house wine, it felt like we had been transported to a small village in Italy.
Amazing! Wonderful food, huge portions, friendly staff, cosy place (u'll need booking!), top quality ingredients, great menu, good wine, extreme value for money, we're Italians and can tell that's true genuine food from Naples!! :)
Great! The food was wonderful and the atmosphere quaint. The proportions were very generous and the price was good for London. We enjoyed ourselves and everyone else seemed to be having a very good, relaxed evening.
