Combining bar, fine Italian restaurant and sought-after venue for functions and celebrations at its Ewell Road address in Surbiton’s Oakhill neighbourhood, Casa Viva Restaurant is animating the restaurant scene in this part of London. At the bar, the wine list is all-Italian, but you can also order up a classic cocktail or innovative concoction alongside tapas-style Italian bar food an canapes. Over in the restaurant, a lazy day begins best with brunch, including a traditional Italian breakfast of eggs, Sicilian sausage, smoked pancetta and butter beans in a tomato sauce. But of course it’s the classically-structured evening menu that is most attractive to lcoal diners, covering starters, pasta and risotto, mains courses, and a dedicated menu for dolci that are all deeply in sway to authentic Italian regional cuisines.
It was a most enjoyable evening. The staff were particularly attentive and very friendly and professiona. I have only one thing I did not like and it was the sweet, the teramsu. It did not have marsala in it at all. Forgive me if the spelling is incorrect. I would rate your restaurant very high and will certainly recommend it to family and friends. Yours sincerely Margaret Birch
Went to Casa Viva on a Saturday evening our table was booked for 7,45 the food was excellent and the staff brilliant and very attentive. The restaurant was unfortunately empty which was a shame because the restaurant itself was great, there was also dancing downstairs which was fairly empty too, but we all still had a great time . Would go back again
