Charlie Browns Diner

Smells as you enter needs a good deep clean, dirty chairs, broken glass on the floor under the table, staff were friendly but looked untidy, bar area in darkness not very welcoming. Food chicken was good but the rest all very greasy. Steak nothing to shout about but not worth the cost, condiments asked for English mustard, found a portion of peas within? Out to celebrate a birthday come away very dissapointed we had heard it was excellent. It isn’t.

Really great food and such a wide variety on the menu, with large portion sizes and a friendly service from all the staff.I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Friendly helpful staff, good choice of starters and mains. Very big portions, doesn't leave room for deserts. Nice atmosphere, relaxed with low lighting and candles on he tables.

Great food cooked to perfection and huge portions. Helpful and friendly staff. The menu is vast with plenty of choice ranging from steaks, fish, pasta and more.

Great service, super atmosphere, huge portions & amazing vegan menu as well as their regular menu. Will definitely be back but next time will cut out the starter so that I have room for dessert!

Another excellent visit to Charlie Brown's! As usual the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the place was really busy even before 19.00, I'm glad I'd booked a table. 3 new serving staff I'd not met before, but I have to say they were excellent, fast, friendly, happy! Drinks arrived very quickly as did both courses. Food was up to it's usual high standard, and plentiful as expected, I can never finish the whole plate. I had the BBQ Burger with Chips and Salad. Been visiting Charlie Browns since 1979, and NEVER had a bad meal. Remember to book in advance!! Thanks to all at CB's, you guys are amazing Dave

Service not great. Mix up when we arrived. We sat for 20 minutes waiting for friends only to find they'd been given a different table at front. Big party got all the attention. Us as a table of 4 got left for too long. Bit puzzled that other customers got turned away at 9.00 on a Saturday night.?

Amazing place food is so big and yummy well worth the money and staff are very kind as well well recommend to anyone I must say.

Great atmosphere, service and food. In fact the steaks were the best I have had in quite a while. The wine wasn't bad either. Can't believe I haven't visited before, but will definitely be back.

Fantastic steaks, large portions, very friendly staff...always a guaranteed fab meal. Place was packed out so book in advance! Brilliant for a birthday celebration, happy for you to bring your own cake and even provide plates if you are brave enough to try and squeeze it in after there huge portions. Defo recommend!!!

My family and I have been going to Charlie Browns for years, excellent food, friendly service, highly recommended. Big portions and very good value for money.

Generous portion size, delicious tasty food, nice atmosphere good value for money. Went with family group of 12 and the service was excellent considering the restaurant was full. Never fails to deliver .

Food is lovely & the staff are so friendly the portions are big so be careful don’t make the mistake I did on my 1st visit and order a starter & main it was to much but all so nice.

Went before the theatre for our work christmas night out. Lovely Christmassy atmosphere, food excellent, staff friendly - will definitely be going back with friends and family.

They have a whole vegan menu and it's amazing!!!! The vegan mac and cheese was great! Lovely service from a man and I assume the female owner.

this restaurant has a warm and friendly atmosphere. Don't be in a rush because the food is prepared freshly, so sit back and soak up the American diner atmosphere. Good piped music too.

can not fault this place, food perfect and service amazing, they catered for our party of 14 with no trouble at all. would highly recomend

We booked Charlie Browns when we stayed in Eastbourne to watch the marathon. I hadn't read reviews on the place so was a bit worried when we got there as it looked tatty from the outside and decor looked a bit dated and in need of a refresh inside. But you mustn't let that put you off; the service was very attentive & friendly, if slightly slow - not a problem for us as we had nowhere else to be that evening so we didn't chase anyone up. The food tasted amazing, it was the best burger I've had for a long time and the portion sizes were very large too. My son and I had garlic bread with cheese to start which was lovely and garlicky and my husband had hot chicken wings. He said the wings were gorgeous with a lovely coating and proper chilli sauce. He also had the chilli burger and said that again the chilli tasted excellent and he wished other places that offered a chilli burger served something similar. He's a complete chilli fiend and is usually very disappointed with chilli offerings in restaurants!

i had the best Vegan Mac and Cheese ever at Charlie Browns and i will most definitely be back again soon i was in heaven. I couldn't finish it i was so full and it made me sad :(

Good food, good service, good portions, will recommend to friends and family although seating at tables a bit of a squeeze. Access to the washrooms a bit restricted for elderly customers.

Relaxed with lovely food, had steak dinners and a lovely couple of medium white wines, friendly and attentive staff- will visit again and next time bring the kids!

As always a warm, lovely welcome, good service and brilliant food. Our party of three had the sirloin steak, rib eye steak and salmon, all delicious.
