Taking its name from Chettinad in the state of Tamil Nadu, South India, this Indian restaurant on Percy Street takes pride in its delicious offerings and commitment to great customer service. Laid back and without pretension, the restaurant has a relaxed feel that makes it a great option for any occasion. And with catering options galore, Chettinad in London’s Fitzrovia can make your next big celebration a huge hit, whether it’s an intimate birthday party or a big company function.
A visit to London’s Chettinad wouldn’t be complete without ordering one of the restaurant’s famous dosas. A thin fermented crepe made from rice and lentils, dosas are typically filled with either vegetables or meat, served usually alongside numerous chutneys and dips. Try the vegetarian Mysore masala dosa: stuffed with a mixture of potatoes and onions and served with red chutney and melted butter, it’s a decadently flavourful treat for anytime of the day. Or you can go for dosas filled with your choice of lamb, chicken or rice. Every decision at Chettinad in Fitzrovia is a good one, and you can always order from an extensive selection of starters, mains, and sides if you’re feeling adventurous.
Love this restaurant! We visit each time we come to London for a delicious and authentic Masala Dosa! The staff are helpful. Do book as they are always busy!
Simply amazing South Indian food. Being a Malaysian, the food is close to the indian at home. Really enjoyed it, and Ariff our waiter gave us excellent service ! Really enjoyed the fried prawns, lamb and prawn briyani, Thalis and dosas
We visted here during odd hours! That is around 4 or 5pm. The place was almost empty. I was craving for a good dosa for months and the Mysore masala dosa and chicken dosa were just perfect! We had the chicken biryani as well. It wasn't the best but definitely better than many places.
