Very enjoyable evening. Nice cosy restaurant with a great atmosphere. Food was great from starters to desserts not forgetting the red wine. Staff were knowledgeable and attentive. Always good to find good local restaurants like this.

It's like stepping into the set of 'Alo 'Alo. Absolutely charming French Bistro with a fab menu to choose from. Great if you are looking for something different to all the other very samey restaurant menus out there. Food was delicious and the service perfect and ambience authentic. I had baked goats cheese and beetroot salad for starters and it was to die for. My husband loved his beef bourguignon. Can't wait to go back there. I can't believe this little gem has been on my doorstep for so many years and I've never tried it before.

We eat here maybe once or twice a year dependant on finding babysitters. The food is always excellent as is the service. I also think that it is excellent value for money.

Wonderful flavours great evening although the restaurant was cold, not ambience but temperature! The Onion soup was exceptional as was the lamp, sea bream and copauvin and the gorodesserts

We enjoyed Sunday lunch which was cooked to perfection, the food was so good we also managed a third course! Would definitely recommend a visit

Had the most amazing experience at Chez Tonton. The place is very authentic, with warm and welcoming atmosphere, lovely and attentive staff. The food was exceptional, best confit du canard I've ever had. A little piece of France in London. Can't wait to visit again.

Would thoroughly recommend Chez Tonton - delicious cuisine and a very varied menu in traditional French surroundings. The service is friendly and efficient. We appreciated the gratin dauphinois and vegetables, which accompany all main courses.

Charming, authentically French restaurant. Excellent house wine, delicious salmon. The tarte tatin, which I chose for dessert, could have been more caramelised. Will definitely go back.

Lovely food well presented, service was excellent highly recommended. Parking a issue but once in the restaurant warm friendly atmosphere, owners couldn't be more inviting can't wait to go back

Starters, mains and deserts for my party of 6 were all magnificent. The wine of the month was also very good (we had 2 bottles) and the host and staff were their usual warm and accommodating selves.

Always good french food and atmosphere. Have been going for years and pleased it it is still well frequented. The owner makes a point of a personal welcome and farewell.

Delicious meal as always with great attentive service. The fish soup was to die for, delicious rabbit for main and strudel for desert all made a great evening dining.

Nice meal. Nice ambience when it filled up. They had no knowledge of our inline reservation but still let us stay. They ran out of a steak we wanted. The bread could have been more appetising and a little bit more. Everything else nice.

Delicious genuine French food. Very friendly service and excellent wines. This is just the kind of neighbourhood restaurant everyone needs to have round the corner.

A rare gem, this local authentic bistro is run by a delightful French couple, serving delicious food, reasonably priced, a real find, we'll definitely come back.

Lovely food and great service. The prawns as started were so delicious, I almost wished I ordered extra portion! We sat outside on the little terrace and it was really lovely on hot summer evening. Can’t wait to go back

Lovely , cozy local French restaurant that offers tasty food and wine. Service is wonderful too , attentive and prompt. The combination of great service and food is that keeps me coming back there now and then. And live music there the other day was a lovely treat that added more French atmosphere.

Most of our food was really good. the owner and the staff are really lovely, so friendly. we have been to the restaurant a number of times and always ejoy the evening.

I just love this restaurant and have been going to Chez Tonton for years. The food is always delicious and the staff so friendly and accommodating. I recently requested a special dish for my Mum who was visiting from overseas and had tried a monkfish chowder here years ago, which she never stopped talking about. The chef and staff at Chez Tonton made this dish again specially for her latest visit and treated us so warmly on our special occasion. My mum was surprised and thrilled and I can’t thank them enough for their attention towards us. Chez Tonton never disappoints and is a true gem in Barnet.
