Brick Lane is world famous for having some of the very best South Asian cuisine that London has to offer. Bangladeshi food is especially popular in Spitalfields, and at City Spice – found just steps from Shoreditch High Street station – you’ll enjoy the best of the best. In contrast to the restaurant’s neon sign out front, the interior of the restaurant is sleek and sophisticated, the perfect place for a date or an anniversary dinner. There’s much to try at this fantastic restaurant, from classic tandoori dishes – think chicken tikka and pakoras – to favourites like shashlik masala, Moghul-style lamb pasanda or their delicious Sylheti jalfrezi, a dish from Syhlet in Bangladesh which can be made with your choice of chicken or lamb. Being that the restaurant is in the city’s most famous location for curryhouses, you can count on City Spice being busy. Book ahead to secure a table.

Gordon Bennett this was a blindly good curry house for a ruby murray. Chicken Balti all the way City Spice!
Genuinely the best ruby murray on Brick Lane. Enjoyed my time there, staff were pleasant and they got a banging Butter Chicken!
Fantastic food! Booked a table as I was staying in Shoreditch for a while. Really glad I picked this restaurant
