Amazing food, Amazing service, Cosy atmosphere. Don't be deterred by the size of the restaurant, the food was delicious and the staff were very welcoming. Overall great experience.

A very pleasant place to eat. The food was well cooked and tasty. The portions aren’t huge which meant we could enjoy three courses without having to be wheeled out of the restaurant in a cart. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. We will return!

Really charming restaurant with great food. There was a large table next to us, which spoilt the intimate atmosphere a little, but that’s mainly because the restaurant is small! Overall it was very enjoyable and I’d definitel return!

You'll need to book, even for a Monday evening! It's popular for good reasons. You won't be expecting the high standard of food and service you'll enjoy here. Each meal is consistently 4* hotel cuisine in quality, truly outstanding flavours, and presentation. Service is exceptionally good; swift, always pleasant, even though busy. 10/10.

Intimate dinning at it's very best! Delightful food and service. Highly recommended! The lamb ribs and steak were to die for! Great location, reasonable prices and a good selection of wines.

Great little restaurant. Book, as we saw several disappointed diners who couldn’t be accommodated. Food and service top notch. Kids loved it too, we all had something different, and it was all to a high standard. Next time in York we’ll return.

Lovely little place, good food from a simple but we'll structured menu coupled with warm hearted service. We were made to feel welcome and really enjoyed our time here.

Excellent at a reasonable price, what more can I say, will be visiting again. The only thing that possibly could have been improved was more sauce on the sticky toffee pudding, but that is being ultra picky and I wasn’t able to leave a review with fewer words.

Excellent in every aspect. Cosy, warm and friendly. Lovely meal with a very reasonably priced bottle of Shiraz. Excellent king prawn starter. Tender, succulent lamb for main. Sensible portions, not overfacing. Loved it.

Great experience for a couple! Such a small and intimate place. Food was great, service amazing, and it is definitely recommended. Probably I will be back!

Absolutely delicious food. Waitress was very friendly too. Only really went due to the high ratings and was not disappointed. Go. You wont be either!

Excellent food was amazing. Great little restaurant, I would definitely recommend. Next time we're in York we will be back. Steak was cooked to perfection as was the Cajun Chicken.

We were very disappointed having read so many positive reviews. My wife’s chilli prawns had a strong tomato taste and lacked bite. Her lamb chops were very chewy. My steak looked more like a burger but had less taste. For us the food did not match the relatively high prices.

Our meal at The Corner Grill House was cooked to perfection, we had The Ribeye and The Lemon Chicken then Sticky toffee pudding and Lemon Tart, A really cosy atmosphere and the service was fantastic. It was our first time but we will definitely return.

That old saying Don’t judge a book by its cover, well don’t judge the Corner Gill House by its look from the outside either .... the food and service is absolutely amazing.

Food was cooked to absolute perfection and was complete value for money. The mix grill starter was absolutely delicious and the fillet steak was to die for

Arrived nearly half an hour early but they were very welcoming and showed us to our table. We had the fixed price menu and struggled choosing as we wanted them all! Wine list kept simple and all bottles the same price. We opted for a Merlot. The food was lovely, hot and cooked well. Service was very good. It is very tiny and you are sat close to other customers but this didn't bother us. Would like to try the a la carte menu next time. Would be ideal for a small private party.

The waitress was so welcoming and lovely. We had the pasta and steak and they were delicious the sticky toffee pudding was definitely the best I've had. Would definitely recommend a visit.
