French bistro fare, fine wines, cold beer, hearty breakfasts, lunches, dinners, desserts and more can be found at Côte Bistro in Richmond. Located just a stone’s throw from the Thames and moments from Richmond station, this casual yet refined restaurant continues to make its mark on the local dining scene. From Surrey to London and even further afield, Côte is a force to be reckoned with, especially given it’s open from early until late every day of the week, making the Hill Street outlet a must-visit.
There are so many quality dishes to try at Richmond’s Côte Bistro that it can be difficult to know where to begin. For starters, you can’t go wrong with a piping hot bowl of French onion soup, some warm beetroot salad, chicken liver parfait, or steak tartare, but that’s just the beginning. If you like a good steak, get involved with the 10oz sirloin with your choice of sauce (we like the garlic butter), the duck confit or some Breton fish stew. Dessert is not to be missed – get the frozen summer berries with white chocolate sauce for a refreshing finish. Book your table now to taste for yourself what makes Côte Bistro such a hit across London and Surrey!
Pleasant staff and good food. We go quite often to matinee performances at theatres in many places. As long as there is a Cote in the area we book our lunch and are always very satisfied.
We always enjoy our weekly lunch at Côte Richmond. The staff are great and the set menu is very good value. We also enjoy the specials.
I often come to Côte Richmond with my elderly father and very young son for lunch. The food is great and we always have lovely staff. Thank you.
We have been coming for lunch at Côte Richmond for some time and the service and food is always great. We particularly enjoy the Breton fish stew and coupe noir desert.
Arrival disappointing as ignored for a while then maitre d' could not remember where he had seated our friends, so we had to walk through the restaurant to find them! However, It all improved from then on. Our table waiter was delightful, responding well to our requirements, not wanting to be rushed, requesting our wine to be very well chilled etc etc. Our food was extremely good, well presented and very tasty, satisfying the whole of the table. Even when we were one of the last tables remaining at closing time, we were not hurried out, but allowed to leave in our own good time. A very enjoyable evening, and most certainly one that we will be repeating.
Normally very good service but last night it wasn't good at all! We had to wait some time for our waitress to give the OK to the waiter who had brought our food from the kitchen - he just stood there waiting while she cleared another table, before he could give it to us, meaning the food was getting cold - we were starving so didn't say anything! Diners at the next table to ours had to wait 20 minutes before their drinks were served - they told us it was the worst service at Cote they had ever experienced! Perhaps the restaurant was understaffed last night - if so, perhaps more staff should be recruited?
An excellent experience: delicious, food that's high quality yet markedly good value. Excellent service. Two of our party selected duck for the main course; this ran out before we were served. We switched to steak (natural choice of meat if duck unavailable). This option was more expensive (we'd have paid for it), and yet a £30 gratuity was deducted from the bill. The manager (and team) were extremely impressive and ensured we had an excellent time. I highly recommend Côte restaurants in general, and this particular branch is extremely good.
Fab food and lovely location - most of staff were very helpful - the only criticism I have is we were given a booth down the back of restaurant which was lovely and for starters and main courses the service was brilliant and attentive but when we decided to order deserts and coffee there was no one about - some of the staff were at the top of restaurant and the others had gone to lunch or disappeared which left the back of the restaurant ignored - it took a while to get someone's attention and even then they came from the top of the restaurant!
As always the food is pretty reliable. However, found the staff in this branch to be pretty surly, so unlike other Cote restaurants I have been to. Having booked the table my friend arrived before me. The waitress couldn't find my name and when she finally did she said 'I think someone is already here' and that was that, no attempt to point out where she might be. I was left to go and find her myself! We asked to move tables and that was fine. My friend had already ordered her drink and as we moved across the waitress placed the drink on the new table, but did not think to ask me whether I would like a drink. The food arrived - we chose the set menu and as always the food was fine. However, at no point did the waitress come to check whether we were happy with our food. In fact other than taking our order there was no other interaction. Very un-Cote! I won't be rushing back.
I had not been to Cote for years, but won a Cote voucher at a charity auction. I enjoyed the quality of the food, the range of options (even for my two fussy vegetarian teenagers) but I was overwhelmed, above and beyond all, by the quality of the service. I have not felt so well looked after in a restaurant of any price range for years and so will now be going out of my way to frequent the place! No wonder it was busy!
