Further Information

Côte Brasserie is well known in the UK for offering flavour-packed French dishes made with premium ingredients. The Birmingham branch in the city centre is a fine representative for the brand, and their large al fresco dining space surrounded by ivy-covered walls makes this outlet one of the most unique. The restaurant’s location at The Mailbox – Birmingham’s premier shopping and lifestyle centre – couldn’t get much better, with some of the city’s biggest attractions and numerous transportation connections within arm’s length. Because of the restaurant's’ popularity, reservations are highly recommended at Côte Brasserie.

Despite featuring exceptional ingredients in each and every dish on offer, Côte Brasserie keeps prices reasonable across the board. There’s even a popular loyalty programme known as Côte Rewards that presents regulars with a multitude of opportunities for big savings. The Birmingham city centre branch of Côte Brasserie is open every day of the week for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with options ranging from smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and mimosas during the morning hours to traditional French specialities including savoie ham with celeriac remoulade (air-dried mountain ham with shredded celery mustard and coleslaw), chicken liver parfait and steak frites with garlic butter. For dessert, be sure to take an order of chocolate mousse for a decadent finish.

Our visit was before the cinema and it always amazes me how excellent the service is and how the staff are always so attentive. Super value too. The Mailbox ‘s best kept secret!

As always, great service, great food and wine. Welcomed warmly and received genuine farewell. This is a great favourite with friends and family. Recommend the steak frites and if there’s a sweet crepe on the menu, recommend that too

Great food and service. Took my wife for birthday dinner and would highly recommend. Bit miffed about leaving a cash tip then seeing on the receipt that been charged a tip already but that's a minor miff. Don't mind paying for decent grub.

Wherever I go in the U K I always find a Cote. The high standard of food, ambience, locations, service and cleanliness are upheld throughout the chain. I would say Cote is one of my favourite restaurants. I recently visited the Birmingham branch. It is situated in a perfect location on the Canal. The outside eating area has a backdrop of a vertical garden. As in all of the restaurants the interior definately has a great French bistro feel, so a great atmosphere as soon as you step in the door. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. Onto the food, The steak frites accompanied with a pat of garlic butter is served pink and very tasty. For dessert I would recommend the chocolate Mousse, best I've eaten anywhere in the world and I'm a seasoned traveller. All in all a great experience with excellent service.

We visited as a party of 4 on Saturday 17 June 2017 for lunch. Booking in advance was really easy and the facility was extremely useful as my partner's mother is coeliac and ordering from the Gluten Free menu was essential. It was also my partner's birthday and the staff really made a fuss of him, surprising him with a Kir Royale as we were seated and followed by a candle in his Roquefort and a chorus of 'Happy Birthday'!! The staff service was excellent throughout the meal and the food was magnificent and very reasonably priced. I'm a fan of Cote in general, but this branch excelled itself and is my favourite. We will certainly be visiting again and a huge THANK YOU for making the day so very special.

First class. Ordered a drink shortly after being seated. Waiter came back 5 minutes later and asked if we would like to order. We said we would wait a little longer, Waiter came back 10 minutes later without prompting(this is good service practice. He took our order and we asked for further drinks. including complimentary water. These were quickly delivered. The starters arrived cooked to perfection. Upon completion the plates were quickly removed. We were asked if we wanted our mains yet (this is unusual) We replied in the affirmative. The Mains and sides also arrived cooked to perfection. We Skipped the desserts as we were completely full. The only reason we have marked them down by one point is is the fact that the wine selection needs updating. This could be me as i am not a lover of French wine. Must go.

I had pre-booked a party of 8. A friend and I arrived early for the table and had to say one of the party had to drop out, which was no problem at all. We could go to our table and were served drinks while waiting for our friends to arrive. Everyone in the party enjoyed their choices, we had the set menu and the autumn salad starter was thought to be particularly good. Service is formal, prompt and efficient in a relaxed atmosphere. It is a couple of years since I last visited but I won't leave such a long gap again before my next visit.

Service was exceptional. Food lovely. The Birmingham restaurant is managed perfectly, with a very close attention to detail with both service and food. Having a carafe of water delivered to the table without asking was wonderful (and after all, is the French way) but to have the waiter come and replace it when he saw me finish it was wonderful - particularly bearing in mind I had my back to the restaurant and didn't turn my head to ask for service. A lovely but very important touch. Very well done to the brilliant Sian and her expert team.

we arrived early and were had a very friendly welcome, The staff could not have been more helpful. The restaurant itself is located at the lower part Mail Box by the canal the environment is really pleasant and there are tables located by the canal which on a warm summer evening make for a very pleasant dining experience. As usual @ the cote the set menu is excellent value and the food delicious, the service exemplary. Overall a fist class evening good location for symphony hall or the BBC
