Whether it’s early in the morning for one of the restaurant’s satisfying French breakfasts or during the evening for drinks, Côte Brasserie buzzes with activity and liveliness, feeling more like a brasserie in Paris than a restaurant in Kent. We recommend main courses like roasted pork belly, Breton fish stew or pan-roasted haddock fillet for dinner, while for lunch the steak frites is an affordable and delicious option that’s perfect for midday. Oh, and there are monthly rotating specials. Book a table at Côte Brasserie on London Road now to see what all the fuss is about.
I enjoyed an excellent meal with family members to celebrate my sister's birthday. From teenagers up to sixty somethings we all thought the food and the service were excellent as I have found in all branches of Cote that I have visited.
Really enjoyed the evening. We had Birthday drinks on arrival as I mentioned it was my dads birthday when booking. Excellent service and delicious food.
I took my mother in law for her birthday. A very great all round experience. Lovely food, polite and courteous staff and service. Lovely menu choices at a reasonable price on the set menu.
Good service and food even though there was a large party of diners in another part of the restaurant. The lunch menu was terrific value
Hi, This food was the BEST I have had eating out in the last 7 months. everything was fabulous. I had the Moules to start with and the proven ale sauce was perfect, just the right amount of kick. Then I had the Chicken Chasseur with was Devine (although I did mention to the lovely waitress when she cleared the table it could have done with something green on the plate like a sprig of broccoli?) as there was only mash and the lovely lovely sauce.), then I had the WORLDS MOST DELICIOUS Creme Caramel...Wow...I am an excellent cook and my friends who came with us is a superb cook too, and she recommended it saying "it won't disappoint" and it didn't, it was much better than even I can make, just like a Creme Brûlée with a soft caramel top....ooh, I can taste it now. wines were nice if not a bit on the prices side, think that could be much cheaper, we had a Bergerac first £23.50 excellent, and then a bottle of house white £19 which is a bit on the prices side as it was not the best house wine I have had, could shave about £3 off that in my opinion (you'd probably sell more). The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful., and the decor good (but my daughter could tweek it with a bit of umph here and there as a Designer) . Can't wait to return for another fab meal. My daughter chose to celebrate her 16th birthday at the Côte Brasserie in Sevenoaks and we could not have been happier with her choice. A telephone reservation was made with Manager Extraordinaire Paul, who understood the significance of a sweet sixteen celebration. On arrival my daughter was greeted warmly by the Team and we were offered a complimentary glass of Kir Royale, a lovely way to begin our evening. We were shown to a special 'booth' table, which was adorned with jolly pink balloons and a birthday girl banner prepared by the Team. Menu choices were ordered and served promptly and very much to our satisfaction, with a selection of steak, chicken and fish mains, all cooked and presented to perfection.Desserts were just as good, with the Team presenting my daughter with a chocolate fondant and ice cream pud with a very sweet candle, not only that, but they had gathered, on a very busy Saturday evening, to sing 'Happy Birthday' to her. How kind. We have dined at various restaurants over the years with our now almost adult children, but found Côte in Sevenoaks to be a very special place, as the staff are efficient and attentive, though never intrusive and they genuinely seem to care about their customers satisfaction. Thank you to everyone working last night, but a special mention of gratitude to Manager Paul for leading his Team to ensure my family enjoyed a very special evening of celebration.
I had a great time at Cote, but my partner wasn't so impressed. We have eaten here quite a few times now, and tonight they seemed to want to rush us out, even though we got there at 5.15 p.m. so the restaurant wasn't at all busy. We shared a pissaladiere which was really delicious, and then I had steak frites; the steak was perfectly cooked and very tender. My partner had moules frites, but it I must admit it was a very mean portion, and the bowl for the empty shells wasn't nearly large enough, just a finger bowl really. They did bring our second course while we were still eating the starter, so that was a black mark. Finished with a little chocolate pot, which I always enjoy, but the Irish coffee my partner ordered was a little light on the whisky! A bit disappointing compared to previous visits.
Good experience on the whole, but I have not given a top rating because: food was slow to arrive (our order got forgotten and waiting staff had to remind the kitchen). Also, the cooking of our chargrilled chicken was suspect and borderline - it was very moist, slimy and pink, almost as though it had been part-microwaved to speed it up. The skin was not crisp and the meat on the leg portion was inedible. This is a dish I eat frequently at Cote restaurants so I know what it should be like. This was poor. We were told the temperature of food had been checked and was safe, but it was not up to the usual standard and should not have been served like this. However, the manager was polite and apologetic and and took one meal off the bill.
Food was generally fine but the food arrived VERY slowly. We were in the restaurant for over three hours which isn't great when you have young children. We asked for the gluten free menu. There was at least a 10 minute gap between the starters arriving and the bread that should have gone with it and you can't eat pate without bread. I had to ask twice for the bread before it finally arrived. The main course that three people wanted had already run out by the time we arrived at 12.30. This is ridiculous. The wine was delivered to the table but not poured which meant that someone had to get up and pour the wine for the 6 people drinking wine. I would have expected the waiter to have poured the wine not just put it down on the table. Both my daughters wanted ketchup yet only one small one pot was given to one of them. My chicken was over cooked and therefore very dry. We have been in the past many times and had much better food and service. It was a really big shame as it was my husband's birthday and his family had travelled many miles to be there.
Cote Sevenoaks offers a good dining experience at a reasonable price. We opted for the fixed price menu at lunchtime which presented plenty of choice and, in our opinion, outstanding value. The fixed price menu (which is restricted to certain times) changes on a monthly basis - and there is always at least one fish option on it. The main a la carte menu offers plenty of variety too - and there are monthly specials offered. Waiting staff were courteous and attentive throughout our meal. It is our 'go to' restaurant in Sevenoaks when we want to be assured of good food and good service at a reasonable price. Very handy for pre or post cinema dining at the Stag!
