Unfortunately, the service was terrible. I ordered a sirloin steak with béarnaise sauce and received a ribeye steak. A replacement sirloin steak eventually arrived and was charred on the outside and not cooked inside (with no béarnaise sauce) and the chips were cold. My husband asked for strawberry, chocolate and vanilla ice cream and received just strawberry and chocolate. We usually enjoy our meals at Cote but last night was extremely disappointing. We were not charged for the steak or ice cream or service but the bill was still incorrect because we were charged twice for my husband's veal escalope. We will not be going to Cote on a Monday any time soon!

Had a brilliant breakfast. We both had the cooked option and paid the extra £1 to include tea and juice. We even had all matching china which seems rare these days It was excellent value and came piping hot. The staff were very friendly and helpful and didn't even mind when we asked to change tables halfway through as the air conditioning was a bit chilly. Couldn't fault it and would definitely go back.

The warm, friendly welcome on arrival was an great start! We chose the special celebration menu and really enjoyed our meal. Service was attentive but not intrusive and the courses came promptly without us feeling rushed. It was very nice to observe the camaraderie amongst the staff - it contributed to a very pleasant dining experience.

Overall a very pleasant experience. It was the first time the 8 of us had eaten at Cotes in the evening. Good value for money.

Unfortunately on this occasion the restaurant was busy so the whole experience was rushed, chips and peas sent back because cold and had been warmed up as we were not ready for our main course! However, the manager to his credit apologised and sorted it out. A shame as I have always enjoyed eating here.

Excellent food and exemplary service made for a great meal. Considering how busy they were everything came out quickly and as hot as it needed to be.

6pm on Saturday 17th June. Had a choice of tables outside and inside. Chose outside, very good. The service was excellent. Chose mains and deserts. Marvellous food. Recommend the pork belly and the caramelised banana. Finished in good time to get to the Assembly Hall for the 7.30pm start. Showed my theatre tickets to the waiter and received 2 Kir Royales on the house. This was the first visit to any Cote. Very surprised.

Very good value pre 7.00pm menu. We enjoyed our meal and the pleasant ambiance. Service was highly efficient and friendly - a well oiled machine. We watched the Friday evening promenaders outside. Will go again next time we have an evening at the Trinity Theatre!

Good service and value for money as usual and expected. The only slight downside was the acoutistics in the main restaurant meant that it was rather noisy.

Fougasse cold when delivered to table. Steak overcooked when medium rare was requested. Table booked with 2 for 1 offer. this was not reflected in the first bill - corrected when pointed out.

Had a table reservation for 10, but had 9 guests, my mistake. We did have to get the waiters attention to ask for drinks as we had not been served. There was a delay with one meal but I thought this was handled very well, they did everything they could to correct this. Only criticism was service was a bit slow. But food was lovely.

I go to cote all the time the staff and service was brilliant as all branches, however I had the rib eye and it was not good, I left it on the plate the only shame was the waitress did not ask if my meal was ok as it obvisoly was not as I would have eaten it otherwise after spending so much on my dinner!

Food was good as always at Côte. The staff however were so-so. Not bad or slow just not up to the standard at other Côte restaurants. Pleasant enough but wouldn't go again.

Consistent quality food as usual. Cheerful and attentive service. Two of us. One chose from the vegetarian menu for a change and had an excellent Salad. The other a very tasty Duck Confit. Always impressed with Cote for its value. I dined recently in one in Londons West End and the standard was the same. You can comfortably spend 2 or 3 times the amount in some of the new over hyped restaurants springing up and leave wondering why you paid so much money. Not so at Cote.

Great breakfast, easy to book and seated quickly. Had run out of orange juice but apple juice was delicious. Staff all polite and will return.
