From steak frites to crème brûlée, the menu takes in all of the classics, and Côte Brasserie take great pride in sourcing their ingredients from the best sources, combining fresh British produce with poultry from Brittany and pork rillettes and Charentais melons from the famous Rungis market in Paris. For a light lunch, the tuna niçoise or the chicken and walnut salad are great choices, while dishes like the fish parmentier (cod, haddock, prawn and salmon in a creamy white wine and leek sauce, topped with mashed potato and Gruyère cheese) and the steak frites are perfect for those times when you want something more hearty. Very good food and service but prefer Guildford for building and atmosphere. Near to Woking theatre tho'. Same menu for food and wine of course!
Good food and wine selection as always. Service good but unobtrusive. Ambience good for a Tuesday evening. A bit draughty under the air conditioning unit!
Excellent food and excellent service. Great atmosphere. We would definitely go there again. Cote seems to get many things right - consistent experiences yet varied food
Very good food, very well prepared. Worth the (slightly) high price if you are interested in quality. Service is also good and the open dining was a plus
Lovely food and lovely atmosphere; and the most fabulously attentive service from the most delightful staff I have ever experienced, I will definitely be returning to Côte Woking. The staff are a credit to Côte Woking and to the whole Côte chain, thank you.
All in all a good evening. The food was lovely and the company excellent but we had to wait a long time for dessert. We alerted the waitress to this and then had another long wait. We raised the attention of the waitress again and they arrived very quickly then but one of the two ordered was the wrong dessert. This led to free Prosecco for each of us and a dessert for thte third person in our group who had not ordered (she was full and didn't really want a pud!) and one of the group doesn't drink alcohol! However, they had taken the desserts off the bill. So all in all we had a very good meal with free Prosecco and was able to see the funny side! Lots of texts between us followed about being so full (the one who didn't want a pud but got one anyway) and having to lie down to stretch our tums! We will likely go again, as we like the food and atmosphere at Woking Cote!
Thank you for such a lovely and welcoming evening. When we arrived, the restaurant was very busy with the pre- theatre dinner guests. We were shown to our table and had to wait for some time before being attented to as the place was heaving. In kindness and good service, we were given a complimentary glass of bubbly as a welcome and apology for the wait. I have been to Cote on several occasions and I wasn't surprised at the service we got, very personal, warm and welcoming. I shall continue to bring my family and friends. Thank you Cote.
A very friendly and attentive service. Pre-booked on the occasion of my birthday...which entitled my party of four to complementary Kir Royales. Much appreciated. This was our second visit to Cote, Woking. Our first was on a Sunday and this visit was on a Monday. I do think the food was better on the Sunday especially with my Breton chicken dish. Sunday's meal came with delicious vegetable, Monday's was just meat on a plate with some rocket. Chips served in a cup ... skinny fries ... I prefer proper chips. What's behind the double standards I wonder? Nevertheless, we enjoyed our visit and will be returning ... on a Sunday. A very smart, clean and attractive restaurant.
This is the first time we have visited the Woking branch as we usually go to the Windsor branch. However, this branch is just as good. The food and service were excellent. Whilst there is no lovely view over the River Thames as in the Windsor branch, the Woking branch is ideally located in the shopping area and near to the theatre. They also offer complimentary kir royales to theatre goers so I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are shopping or going to the theatre in Woking and I will certainly return for those reasons.
Since I have discovered that Cote is accredited with Coeliac UK and have been visiting several different branches I have always been very impressed with every one I have been to. I know I can guarantee the food is gluten free and always of the same quality. You give me a gluten free menu so I do not have to discover what I can actually eat from a busy employee. Our coeliac group have had a meal in the local Cote and all were impressed. The staff I have found have always been friendly and helpful
