Very nice dinning room menu good value but service tonight was poor, waited over 30 mins for my main course after asking, had to ask for bill. Not up to Its normal standard
Marvellous as always, I've been to Cote in Brighton nearly a dozen times now, consistently good service and quality of food. My kids always look forward to the steak frites.
Always a pleasant experience dining at Cote, brighton. The service from being greeted on entry, and being shown to your table, often with a preferred choice, and the waiting staff are always on point with their service and attendance to you though out your meal. The food, well! Has never failed to tick all the boxes, value that's never has compromised its full taste. One of the best dining experiences I always enjoy, for a lunch with friends to an evening meal before hitting the town, or the theatre!
Lovely setting in the restaurant and good food overall but some of the dishes did not come as described on the menu which was a little disappointing.
Really great food and the service was excellent- the way we were treated made us feel very special as was a meal back at the venue we were married in and staff remembered us which was fabulous
Good food but slow service. I had the mussels as a starter and these were very good. The belly pork as a main was excellent. Price wise - fair.
Great table d'hote menu to enjoy this month in the garden - sheltered despite the blustery weather! The service was quick, friendly and efficient as ever giving us time for a relaxing lunch.
Never had a bad meal. Had pre theatre supper today. Popped back for a drink in the interval and came back after the play for a late desert.
I love Cote, always tasy food and great service but I had two minor complaints this time around. When it's really busy it is too noisy to hear my guest because of the acoustics in the room, although fine as the clientèle thins out over the sitting, obviously this is changeable. The veal loin I had was a touch dry at one end and the fat hadn't rendered well so was a little too chewy to eat. My experiences at Cote always keep me coming back for more and like I say these are very minor issues that have not put me off from dining at this fine establishment.
Apart from very slow service, our experience was Excellent. Fortunately we allowed plenty of time before the theatre but our main course did not arrive until we had been there for one hour. However, the lunch menu was exciting and very varied making it difficult to choose only one from each course. As always, food of high standard.
Too many menus (4 different ones!). Poor quality house wine. Too noisy and tables too close together, but good service and good lively atmosphere. Food was OK but came within 5 minutes of ordering implying that it was pre-prepared (burger and cod goujons). Burger was good, goujons only average.
Great food and service. Consistently great every time we go for either breakfast lunch or dinner. Sat on the terrace today and it my absolute favourite! Such a fabulous spot.
Great meal as always. Lovely attentive staff. Favourite eaterie in Brighton. Wish I could smoke on the patio but understand it might not be acceptable to other diners.
Always consistently good food and service. The Brighton restaurant is always busy - upstairs is quieter than downstairs. Handy for the Theatre Royal and has a good pre 7pm deal.
Very good value for money, pleasant surroundings, usually very pleasant staff except tonight the waitress gave the feeling that she didn't really enjoy her job. The choice tonight was not as great as it has been but still very good. They ran out of peach crumble which disappointed us but I will certainly return. One of my favourite places.
Cote Brighton never disappoints. The menu is extensive and not over priced. The food is excellent, the staff are helpful and efficient. The premises are lovely and we'll maintained.
Good prompt service. Great choice of delicious food. Love the calamari. Can highly recommend for any occasion. .. . . . . . . .
Thoughtful, aware service. Delicious food, convivial atmosphere. Excellent value. My mother and I enjoyued my birthday treat immensely. We are very grateful to have such a delightful restaurant so nearby.
Cote Brighton is in a lovely building and has an upstairs and downstairs service. Good menu, pleasant service, great food. What more do you need.
Good service, good food as usual with Cote. Pleasant. light space, and not too noisy. Our usual Cote is in Blackheath Village, which can often be noisier, thanks to too many hard and noise reflective surfaces.
All good and I use the chain regularly. Only point I would make on this occasion is that the waiting staff seemed somewhat disinterested and not massively attentive, which let them down somewhat.
Normally we eat at Cote later in the day but decided to to try breakfast. Lovely breakfast and charming service. Will definitley visit again soon.
Food was absolutely amazing, as always, but service very slow. Had to ask several times for everything including coffees which were left on the side to get cold and so had to be replaced. Restaurant didn't seem overly busy and there were loads of staff so we couldn't really understand why it was nearly 2.5 hours for a main meal and a coffee!
Lovely food , fantastic waitress but just left waiting a little long for dessert things to be cleared when the restaurant got a bit busier
As always a very good meal and excellent value. Service was not as good as usual, but the restaurant was quite busy. I would have liked another glass of wine but couldn't get anyone's attention.
I was having lunch with friends and their son Robert to celebrate good A level results. As usual the food was very good. Service exceptional.

Lovely evening, fab staff, good very nice, atmosphere buzzing. Best place to go in Brighton for a great night out. Jules the hostess is the best and runs that restaurant perfectly.
The food was fine and it was very good value for the early evening meal, however the service was a bit erratic and the gents toilets downstairs were flooded which posed a potential health hazard as the kitchen was in close proximity!
Enjoyed a complementary Kir Royal on arrival and chose from the set menu. As usual it was delicious and very good value. Service was excellent despite them being extremely busy. Always a delight.
Had a really nice time and nice meal with a friend The service was good although the wrong order came out first Would still recommend as everything was 5 star
Good value , good food, service fine . But poor acoustics on a busy night made it hard to hold a conversation. Don't go there if you want to talk!
Food and service was fine as usual, but the table was cramped and the restaurant was very noisy. Although booked had to wait for a table to come free.
lovely restaurant, 1st visit, not at all disappointed, recommended it via friends. Thank you. Good ambience, service lots of choice, different menu options to choose from . Excellent
Excellent as always, thank you. What else can one say. Yes, it was very crowded and very noisy so we couldn't have a conversation but the food was delicious and nicely presented and our waiter was attentive and polite - what more can one want!
Delicious food, catering to a verity of tastes, able to satisfy fish dish lovers, vegetarians & meat lovers, all delivered to the table with fantastic service. The restaurant was clean, well air conditioned, with a friendly atmosphere.
There 5 of us. It is a pity that this restaurant does not have some round tables. Good food and service though. Have a nice day.
Went there to celebrate my sons 21st birthday. Great atmosphere and very busy for a Wednesday evening. Service was good and staff were very attentive. Delicious food. Would highly recommend .
Good food. Lovely ambiance. Personably staff. Great price. Cote is a regular venue. Nowhere else can deliver this consistently. Go Cote. We shall be gong back soon. Tony
The food is always very good, well presented and good value. Service is very good, waiting staff efficient and friendly. Conveniently situated by the Dome.
Great place to eat with friendly staff. The food was of good quality and set menu was good value. This is a big restaurant and visiting early for Sunday Lunch was an advantage as we had a choice of tables. We were not rushed and was treated with a genuine and friendly manner by the staff. When visiting Brighton this is now one of the places that we come back to.
Great restaurant. Today we sat on the terrace which is well protected from wind and with lots of large umbrellas shade from the sun if that is what you want. Loved all my three courses and at 12.95 is such a bargain!
Excellent, as usual! Booked it as my friend was visiting me for the weekend and I wanted somewhere I knew would be good, and we weren't disappointed! Delicious food and very friendly and helpful service. See you again soon! X
Great service, couldn't ask for more. Problem with cooking of the steak as requested meant a bit of a wait but dealt with really well. Very good customer service. Will go again!
Good service and lovely Food. The food is always fresh and full of flavour. I am often let down by chain restaurants however I can always rely on cote for high quality food.
There is a really nice terrace at the back of the Brighton Cote which was perfect for a sunny late lunch in June. Service exemplary.
We had Great food it was great value and was great service, we have been a few times and never had a bad meal, recommend!
The staff are always very polite and accommodating. The food is good value for money. The atmosphere is relaxed without it feeling cheap. It can be quite noisy but I but that down to everyone enjoying the company they are in and actually talking to one another. We never feel rushed.
Very prompt service and waiter very friendly and helpful food as described and tasty.cost reasonable would recommend this restaurant highly. Very handy for theatre royal in Brighton
A proper FRENCH brasserie in the heart of Brighton serving good food with just enough regular menu changes to tempt you to try something new.
Excellent friendly fast service, very nice food, the early evening fixed price menu was exceptional value, portion sizes not too big so we could enjoy three courses. The restaurant is very well located for eating before the theatre etc.
