County Restaurant @ ABode Canterbury, a modern European restaurant that we can’t get enough of, takes its name from the original name established for the hotel in 1892. Whatever your occasion might be – whether a casual lunch with family, a celebration in one of the private dining rooms or a meal around the chef’s table – you can savour only the finest local produce and an exceptional European wine list to go along with it. County Restaurant @ ABode Canterbury has won three AA Rosettes, and is located right on Canterbury High Street and open for lunch, dinner or just drinks. It’s a perfect way to complement a day in one of the most historic city centres in the UK. Reservations, of course, are essential.

Very bland restaurant in a decent hotel. When we got to the restaurant for lunch at 1230 it was empty of staff with only a maintenance man carrying out some repair work available. He was very helpful but the place was not ready to serve lunch. Eventually when we returned 15 minutes later the staff had arrived and we got our very mediocre and expensive lunch. Service was okay but definitely I would not return.
The service was excellent, food good shame about the wait. Will go again
