A rare combination of politeliness and professionalism. My guests enjoed the meal and the atmosphere. The Price for all this was surprisingly low. Service exellent.
Excellent food and service. Shame about space...a bit tight ! Portions to certainly satisfy your hunger. You won't come out still feeling peckish . What ALL restaurants should do instead of charging you the earth and still leave you hungry !
Really good food and a lovely bottle of wine. and a really warm welcome from all the staff . Would defiantly Recommend A really enjoyable Night. Thanks to all we shall return !!
There was an amazing choice of tasty meals, decent portions, great service and lovely atmosphere on both floors. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely go again.
The fact that this restaurant has been in business for many years and is usually full tells you that it does most things right. If you are looking for a well executed 'traditional' Italian meal, Da Paolo will not disappoint. A lovely and good value Primitivo added considerably to our enjoyment of the meal.
Great place, nice staff and even better food!! Tuna was delicious and tomato & burrada salad was fresh and tasty. Will definitely come back with family and friends.
Warm friendly family atmosphere . That staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, I especially enjoyed my liver, bacon and onions ! Altogether highly recommmended.
lovely food great un intrusive but attentive service lovely place, really central. Small and intimate I went with colleague to have a working dinner and it was an excellent choice for that but equally I could see for a small intimate dinner for 2 it would be great.
Great service, accommodating for dished that were not on the menu was bot a problem. Dishes came quickly, hot and tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant.
A lovely cosy Italian restaurant with a family run feel. The food was given in generous portions but not lacking in flavour. Lovely service and it was a very busy evening for them. Good place to have a romantic meal
A friendly, pleasant restaurant with helpful staff and an excellent menu. Prompt service! We had the specials and they didn't disappoint. Just the place for a meal to put you in good mood, a quiet haven in a busy area of town. The real Italian experience.
Excellent meal , friendly service and warm and relaxed ambiance. Would strongly recommend this restaurant for generous helpings of really good food at reasonable prices. Will be going back.
A small restaurant upstairs but BIG where service and food is concerned. Excellent cooking, presentation AND reasonably priced too. Service was outstanding. I go to this restaurant quite a lot as it's the best in the area and it never fails to impress. Oh, and the The Specials really are "special".
Excellent friendly service and well presented tasty food. Rang for directions to restaurant from Tube and staff were most helpful. Cosy atmosphere which is rare for London.
Delicious food. Excellent service. Massive portions. Warm atmosphere. Best Italian Restaurant in London. Great little spot hidden down a pedestrian walk in the heart of this vibrant city.
amazing food with great service! definitely recommended and will go visit it again. Good selection of wine. Very Authentic Italian restaurant with the traditional Italia feeling!
Da Paolo is OK at best. The tables are very close together, but that's OK if you want a jolly atmosphere and you don't need to have a serious conversation. There was certainly a jolly atmosphere. But this thing about "generous portions" is crazy. I had a starter that would have fed 4 people and the main course was enough for 2. I left at least half of both dishes and it was such a waste. My starter was mountains of charcuterie perched on a mound of salad - which incidentally was rather wet. I ploughed my way through half of it before thinking "this is ridiculous" and giving up. I don't enjoy eating like that. When taking my order, I was asked - very properly - how I'd like my tuna to be cooked. I said rare. A double helping arrived, with two large pieces of tuna fighting their way through a deluge of cherry tomatoes. Neither piece of tuna was rare. I was too depressed to complain. Having gone to the bother of asking, then ruining two pieces of fish, I was reluctant to suggest the chef had a go at another two. Serve half the amount of food; charge the same amount of money. Then they could afford to improve the cooking.
Da Paolo is intimate and atmospheric. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, but not intrusive (a real trick in such cosy surroundings). Our party of 8 had a snug fit but we were never cramped. The food was really good - no one regretted their choice and the portions were generous. Thoroughly recommended.
Nice atmosphere really nice and tasty food good recommendations from the waiter....nice celection of wines.really enjoy it I'll go again for sure not only once.
We dined in a lovely atmospheric upstairs room. The service was attentive but best of all was the food. It was all genuinely Italian and of excellent quality.
Da Paolo is a genuine Italian restaurant. The recipes are not the usual ones, but more on the regional specialties, make sure to enquire about the special dishes of the day that are always an amazing treat. It tends to be a little expensive (dishes on the range of 18/20£) but this is the price for genuine Italian quality and let's remember that they serve pretty big portions, for example a single main dish is usually enough to fill me up. As dessert the Tiramisu' is deliciously home made. The real deal.
Great food, surprising specials in an intimate atmosphere. We arrived and out table was waiting. The helpful staff helped us pick the perfect items for our meal.
Authentic and tasty food. We would definitely go back for dinner!
