Attracting aficionados of Italian cuisine from all over Poole and beyond, Da Vinci’s is a charming trattoria found on The Quay. Combining exposed brick walls and rustic decor with a menu of home-style Italian cuisine, Da Vinci’s is the perfect place for any occasion, whether it's for a big, family meal or a romantic dinner date for two – relax in the cosy downstairs restaurant right on The Quay front, or dine in style in the elegant upstairs dining room. With the warm and welcoming service, we’re sure you’ll feel right at home at Da Vinci’s — and, even more so when you taste the food served up here, cooked from scratch with lots of passion.
We recommend starting your meal at Da Vinci’s off by sharing some antipasti like the arancini balls, calamari fritti or the mushrooms stuffed with dolcelatte cheese, topped with breadcrumbs and drizzled with honey. Then, tuck into a hearty pasta dish of some authentic Italian pizza, or one of Da Vinci’s mains like the saltimbocca alla romana (slices of veal topped with parma ham, sage and butter). For an unbeatable Italian experience in Poole’s centre, book a table at Da Vinci’s now!
Extensive menu and choice of wine. Great service and excellent food that was well presented. I highly recommend this restaurant both for lunch and special occasions.
Da Vinci restaurant in Poole great location excellent menu tasty food good service plenty of seating good surroundings nice background music playing not to load we will be returning
I was called to confirm our booking which was good as we were a table of 10 who booked same day! We received great service and food as always from the Da Vinci's team. We had a a really lovely evening. Super choice of Italian classics and always the fresh fish specials.
Excellent meal with family great service food was brilliant as always nice friendly atmosphere. Was very busy but didn't have to wait very long for the meal
Extremely noisy, could not have a conversation due to noise from large party, nothing done to ask them to tone down. My starter was cold even though topped by melted cheese, don't know how they managed that. Some staff were very good but others could not speak English. My hubby had to ask three times for some bread before we got any as the waiter didn't understand. Overall not great, no water at table, at the prices charged I would expect better, I don't need a waiter to put my napkin on my lap, I do need one who sees the table is clean and correctly set with everything we need.
Put in a special request for a nice romantic table overlooking the harbour upstairs. Yet got seated downstairs in the middle of the restaurant. Other than that it was simply amazing as always. Their food is always delicious. Which is why it's my favourite restaurant in town.
Food was lovely. The only downside was we had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. I also ordered a second bottle of lager when my food arrived . It never turned up. (Except on the bill of course) . However, apart from an obvious lack of bar staff I like the place.
Asked for water when everyone ordered drinks didn't get it until we were given our mains. The side orders didn't come out till the mains were finished. The spaghetti bolognese tasted like a ready meal. The pasta is no longer homemade. The chips are now standard oven chips when they used to be homemade and cooked with olive oil. It's a shame because it used to be a lovely place to eat.
Lovely setting on the harbour. Serve food all day on a Friday which was great as we had to eat at 3pm. Food was superb and staff friendly, couldn't have asked for more!
Reserved table ready and friendly greeting on arrival. Good service throughout, Peroni nicely chilled, wine by the glass reasonably priced and the Bruchetta and Calamari Starters very good and main courses Tortellini and Canelloni superb as was the service.
Extensive menu with daily "specials" & even then my wife just wanted plain swordfish ..so they just cooked it ..friendly happy staff.. and right on the quay...had a good night with family & friends
Great restaurant on Poole Quay with lovely food and great service, Italian menu is extensive and there is a very good choice of wines and other drinks, good ambiance
Good food, good location, efficient friendly staff, had a window seat overlooking the quay on a sunny evening. What more could you want for an evening out
Lovely manager, great food and ambience. We went as a group and had a lovely time. Really lovely setting, on Poole Quay. A fun evening.
We love the homemade, local ingredients and friendly staff. We don't love being given bottled water we didn't ask for and charged for this .
Disappointed! Starters were basic. Two of our main courses, pasta and pizza, were overcooked. Water we were given tasted as if it had been left standing for the whole of this hot day. Waiters were charmless.
Food was great, however, even though we had reserved a table it had not been prepared and once seated it took another 15 minutes for our drinkd order to be taken. We will not be visiting again.
