It’s unique amongst Davy’s because there are not one but two associated venues at the same address down Greenwich High Road. Thinking about making a Wine Vaults - Greenwich booking?

Davy’s Wine Vaults Greenwich is something of a landmark on a map of London stippled with Davy’s wine bars and restaurants. In a truly historic location down Greenwich High Road, as close as can be to the Greenwich DLR and British Rail stations, Davy’s Wine Vaults offers the excellence one associates with all in the Davy’s stable. Here, head chef David Kirby has compiled a menu studded with classics of British cuisine that use only the freshest, seasonal ingredients. Royal butcher David Russell once again impresses with his traditional grass-fed, aged steaks, while everything from the ploughman’s plate of home-baked ham, Cheddar cheese, black pudding, Scotch eggs, bread and pickles to the Davy’s club sandwich exude solid, traditional culinary values. Then of course comes the wine list, with a mind-boggling selection of over 100 old- and new-world wines to choose from. Somehow stumped? Or just like what you tried and want to take a bottle home? Head next door to Davy’s dedicated wine shop and take your pick.

That’s not it when it comes to Davy’s Wine Vaults’ Greenwich High Road location. Downstairs, set under the road itself, you’ll find Davy’s The Cooperage. The venue is Greenwich’s original Victorian-era wine cellar, and here under the low ceilings, nestled in nooks and crannies of stripped, whitewashed brick adorned with vintage curios, is one of London’s best kept cocktail bar secrets. A small, carefully curated list of cocktails is accompanied by a grazing menu of share plates and boards, burgers, and Davy’s usual list of fine British cheeses. A point of difference here at Davy’s The Cooperage is the selection of spirits from the cooper’s barrels, featuring spirits infused with botanicals and aged on-site in original wine casks. Tequila with roast pepper and paprika, gin with cucumber and elderflower, bourbon with smoked bacon, vodka with chilli and lemongrass, rum with apple and spices – all can be built into a classic or contemporary cocktail by Davy’s The Cooperage’s skilled bartenders.
