Don Leone serves quality Italian food in a comfortable, candlelit setting. What more can a hungry diner ask for? Traditional and modern dishes are served around the clock. Enjoy a fresh ciabatta at lunch time with mushroom, caramelised onion and goats’ cheese, or, in the evening, an indulgent rosa di parma, herb-crusted pork tenderloin stuffed with prosciutto and parmesan, served with rosemary potatoes and a creamy sage sauce. If pasta is your preference, Don Leone serve it al dente every time. The king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine is superb. In the centre of Leicester, Don Leone has been recently renovated, redefining itself as a perfect spot for casual yet sophisticated dining, right on Queens Road. Avoid missing out and reserve a table now.
Despite a busy evening the service was quick, efficient and pleasant. The food was ok but I can cook better pasta myself, so I wasn't wowed by the quality, nor by feeling there was anything intrinsically Italian or particularly different about it. Garlic prawns were in a watery sauce that needed further eduction and flavour. It rained at Domestic Science college many years ago so I expect high standards when I eat out.
A very pleasant restaurant, nice atmosphere. The staff were very efficient and attentive, they had time to listen to our questions regarding the menu and always with a smile. The food as always was delicious, we had a lovely meal.
Nice restaurant and staff - good food tho one of our party of four didn't like her seafood main course - a little pricey but v enjoyable meal before a gig and we would return
